"Snuffles is a cat-fish." Uh—really?! I take a closer look, and there I see them. This fish has whiskers! "You gotta be kiddin' me..!" my face twitches in surprise. "As in all awesome shounen manga, a cute animal mascot follows the main party on their journey!" Lane's eyes sparkle with enthusiasm. "So make sure to take a good care of your new friend! And by that, I mean you, Charlotte."

she says, blushing a little. I shake my head to wake myself up. “Oh, sure thing.” I walk past her, my hands itching to touch her soft skin again but I manage to keep myself in check. I grab another t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants out of the drawers. This time, the t-shirt is even more ridiculous than before. Instead of Snoopy, it’s SpongeBob Squarepants doing a dance on the front. “Thanks,” she says, smiling up at me. “You like SpongeBob? I wouldn’t have guessed.”

On the inside the same puppy was being cuddled by another puppy and the quote was, 'It'll get better. Pwomise.' You'd written, 'BFWMB, You might be alone tonight, but I promise that you will find complete satisfaction tomorrow. We'll just keep trying until you're so satisfied you can't stand right. Deep breath, DD.'

"Hmm, you know what? I think you should call him Snoopy!" I laughed in response. I couldn't help it. "Why Snoopy?" I asked, curious as to his reasoning. But he only grinned and shook his head, displaying his perfectly white teeth. "I don't know, he just looks like a Snoopy to me," he said with a shrug. I looked at the puppy, whose tail was wagging wildly. "What do you think?" I asked the puppy in mock sincerity, and to my surprise he gave a tiny yip in response. "Do you like Snoopy?"

Clay nodded at my phone. “Hold your horses.” I rolled my eyes, pulling up the list. “Okay, the others in the cartoon movie were Slightly, Nibs, Chubby, and Twins.” I frowned, not liking any of those. “Ah, here we go. In Hook, there was also Ace. But that’s a no go since that’s my brother. Thud Butt is also a no. We aren’t insulting the puppies.” I shook my head. “Pockets could be cute. Don’t Ask, Too Small, Latchboy, and No Nap were the others. I don’t like those names.” I wrinkled my nose.

That guy from the coffee shop had given me his number so we could talk about when we'd meet up. I'd gotten a little squeaky toy for Snowy for us to play with. I don't know how well that's going to work considering he's a wolf and it's made for dogs. But, a wolf is just a huge dog, right?
