Impossible. She felt uncomfortable, sure, but not to the point of crying. Just then, she overheard someone passing by. “It’s snowing.” Lena’s eyes snapped up to the sky. Snowflakes were drifting down, one by one, twinkling under the streetlights. “It’s snowing, Uncle Aaron! It’s snowing!” The excitement of the first snowfall instantly washed away the dull ache in her chest. Aaron hummed in acknowledgment. “It is.” “This is the first snow,” Lena said as she grabbed onto his arm, shaking it lightly.

*Winter* The car murmured as it glided over the snow-covered roads, a muted contrast to the vibrant chaos of my emotions. I stared out the window, the landscape blurring into a surreal painting of white and muted colors. The snowflakes danced like tiny fairies, swirling and twirling in an intricate ballet around the windshield. I wondered fleetingly if I was still dreaming, my mind teetering on the edge between reality and something far more magical. Each flake was a whisper from a world I felt I had only just glimpsed—the very essence of mystery wrapped in crisp cold.

Midnight turned to false dusk, the earth glowing as though bathed in ghostly twilight. It lasted no more than two seconds, then vanished. Most of the world slept through it, unaware of what had just passed over their heads. But Cyrus knew. Cold sweat soaked his back. He tipped back his beer and took a big sip. The crisp bite steadied him, but only a little. Tossing more kindling on the fire, he switched on the TV for background noise and waited—for the world to change, for the Frostfall to begin. And it did. Minutes later, the first flakes began to fall.

"I'm so sorry, my love. That was thoughtless of me." He pulled me into his arms and kissed my cheek. "It's been a while since I've wanted to celebrate anything, Sugar. But you've given me the greatest reason to celebrate. I promise, I will make an effort for our kids." *** We arrived at the Barrington Mansion on a chilly Christmas morning. The air was crisp and the ground was blanketed in a layer of glistening snow. Snowflakes gently fell from the sky, creating a serene and picturesque scene. The mansion itself was adorned with a dusting of snow, adding to its grandeur. As we entered the well-lit house, the warmth immediately enveloped us, banishing the cold from our bodies. The once haunted

Looking at 'Snow', my only companion lying on the sofa, I whispered, "I'm coming, baby; I have to see what he wants today." I adjusted my dress and hurried downstairs. These Quebec nights are bone-chillingly cold, but inside me, heat flowed like lava. As I pushed the heavy door of the large apartment building and stepped onto the pavement, a white blanket of snowfall had covered the streets. The crunching sound of ice breaking under my thin heels created a strange sense of panic. The dark tint of the limousine window slid down slowly. Lucas's grey eyes looked as sharp as swords even in the dark. He didn't say a word; he just opened the rear seat door with one hand.

He left the room. A fierce winter covered the forests with heavy snow-clusters and icicles, and filled ravines to their edges with drifts, so that the whole land seemed a single white plain. Great, sudden storms came, in which men and herds were lost under the pall of snow; roads grew misleading and perilous. A lonely Jaweldur howled in the distance.

I gently closed the newspaper and threw it into the blazing fireplace in front of me. The tongues of fire instantly swallowed the paper, swallowing that name and that past soaked in blood and betrayal. "Nothing." I took a sip of coffee, warmth spreading through my body. "I just think the fire is warm tonight." Outside the window, snow was falling heavily, covering the world in white. And my story was just beginning. (The End)

A day before my wedding, my fiancee, Claudia George, was suddenly required to go on a business trip to North City. “There are some issues with the project. The issue should be settled by tomorrow morning, and I’ll return immediately. I won’t delay the wedding at all.” She was afraid that I would overthink the situation, so she video-called me right after she landed. In the video call, she was wearing the down jacket that I had bought her. Behind her was the white wall of the hotel. It was snowing heavily outside the window. She showed me the entire room. There was one pillow on the bed, and one set of toiletries on the sink. She even opened the closet for me to have a look. I nod

She murmurs, wondering how many days she will remain in this place, hoping the awful weather improves soon. Disturbed, she turns to see Slagle placing a heavy coat over her shoulders. He smiles at Adhara, gazing at the town coated in white, silvery flakes.

Finally, exhaustion overtook her and she drifted off into a troubled sleep. Noelle drifted off, far into the dream land, In the dream world, everything was white and snow-covered. It was like a never-ending winter wonderland, with snowflakes gently falling from the sky. The ground was blanketed in a thick layer of snow, and the trees were all frosted over, glistening in the sunlight. Despite the cold, there was a sense of peace and serenity in the air, as if the snow had brought with it a calming energy.
