She pushed at my skin worriedly, trying to smooth out my features. A sudden, genuine laugh burst from my chest—a sound so rare and unfamiliar that two nearby guards subtly glanced over in surprise. Before I could answer her, Aaron returned holding up his tablet, his expression darkening. "Alpha... Blizzard pack just made a move." The mere mention of that name caused my entire body to go rigid. My jaw clenched, a dark, dangerous growl vibrating deep in my throat. That Alpha of theirs clearly has a death wish, I thought, my blood running hot.

She read it twice and then she looked at the eastern ridge where three stones stood against the sky. "The Mourne Alpha is coming in two weeks," she said to Zane. "He's confirmed." Zane was quiet for a moment. "Alone?" "Alone." She folded the letter. "Brennan Mourne, Alpha of the most politically connected pack in the region, coming to the Voss lands alone in two weeks." She looked at me. "And you just arrived," she said. There was something in her voice. Not calculation — something more like the expression of someone who had read a very long and complex map and had just watched two pieces of it click into place simultaneously.

"As an Alpha of the Amber Moon Pack, your brother must have ways to train his warriors and prepare them for possible attacks or even wars and as an Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, I don't poke my nose in other pack's businesses." Alpha Rain said, trying to sound as polite as possible. His wolf was on the edge of snapping Grace away but he urged the stubborn guy to leave this to him.
