SWEET SPOT
We had just finished the last few chips when Nyla suddenly started fanning her mouth with her hand, tongue sticking out slightly as she tried to cool it down.
“Hot… hot…” she whimpered, blowing air onto her tongue in that adorable, desperate way.
I couldn’t help but chuckle. “Let me get you some water.”
I quickly went downstairs, grabbed a glass of cold water, and came back up. She took it gratefully and drank it in big gulps, but even after finishing the glass, she was still fanning her mouth, tongue out, eyes watery from the spice.
“Is it that spicy for you?” I asked, amused. “I don’t feel it that much.”
