Five wolves were with the Alpha and Beta wolf, they all set out of their pack grounds till they reached the inner beautiful Greiner. "It's been years I was last here, but it feels like just yesterday." Conri's heart was full of retribution, he wish he could destroy all fairies. And it wasn't a hidden desire. Badulf placed his hands on Conri's shoulder, "we will rebuild," attempting to calm Conri down a bit. "It's time" Badulf commanded and the five shifted into wolves and they howled. The howl was heared by some fairies but decided to ignore as they felt safe. Peri however was worried on hearing it and she stepped out screaming for Nuala as she ran into Saria.

, my voice still heavy with sleep as I struggle to sit up. There’s a moment of silence, but then, BAM! The book snaps shut with a thunderous sound, revealing none other than Vivaldi. His bright, curious eyes peer out at me from behind these round, wire-rimmed glasses I've never seen him wearing before. His raven black hair is all ruffled, like he’d just rolled out of bed. With an excited pitch in his voice, Vivaldi exclaims, "You're awake, Snow Boy!" His enthusiasm is unmistakable, as he questions, "How was Dreamland?"

Jasper frowned deeply, but eventually he sighed and closed his eyes. I opened the storybook. The pages were old and worn, the paper softened by years of use. “Once upon a time,” I began slowly, “there was a princess with skin as white as snow…” Then I froze. My wolf suddenly bristled. Something about the story made my stomach twist. I snapped the book shut. “Nope,” I said flatly. “This story is not right. Let’s find another one.” Jasper’s eyes opened again. “Why?”

All I could do was stagger deeper into the night. "Thud!" Blood splattered onto the ground, and pain shot through me, causing my entire body to tremble. A stone rolled aside as my shadow loomed over the frozen ground. My left leg gushed blood, and whatever strength I had left quickly drained away. The pursuers were upon me. "Damn it! This she-wolf's life force is tougher than a cockroach's!" I struggled to lift my hands, crawling desperately forward. Pain exploded from my scalp as a brutal force yanked me backward by my hair.

On Christmas Eve, my bestie, Yara Charlton, came to me, her cheeks rosy with a mix of excitement and nerves: "Nicole... Can you do me a solid and come over on Christmas Eve? I need a wingwoman to help me sneak some time with Keith." "Huh?" I stared at Yara, puzzled. Blushing deeper, she nibbled on her lip and spilled the beans, saying, "I'm scared my dad will catch on to Keith and me. If you're there, you can help distract him..." Her voice trailed off, her eyes dancing with mischief. "I haven't had a chance to be close with Keith in forever... You need to help me!" I could not say no to Yara, so I agreed, albeit with a bit of trepidation.

"Don't talk. Just hold on. The snow's about to stop." However, Janet seemed to see nothing. Confused, she whispered in my ear. "Don't tell him I'm still dumb and a failure. I've been everywhere, but I still can't forget him." Tears and blood streaked Janet's face. "If you get better, I won't tell him how much of a failure you are!" She hugged my neck, her voice barely a whisper. "He made those clay dolls for me—one for him and one for me. We'd never be apart."

The rancid smell made Elora nauseous. Elora approached and knelt, doing the same as she did to Arthur. Elora kissed Sophia’s lips. “Mommy?” Elora called. At that moment, Elora realized that Snow White’s story was just a fairy tale. Dead people can’t live again just by kissing them. Elora stood up. Her mind went blank. She looked around in confusion. The black book was tightly in her arms. Elora did not know what the book was for. She just felt that it was very important and that it should not be separated from her.

She told herself the faint tingle was her imagination, just as the hot dreams she’d been having the past few nights had been nothing more than memories of her girlish rescue fantasies with the temperature turned up by her adult experiences. She traced the raised lettering. A version of Red Riding Hood with the wolf as both sinner and seducer and the woodsman as the hero who saves the girl and takes her away from her old life to a new, better one. Seeing the book, touching it made her mother feel closer than she had in years. Even if it turned out to be just a copy, it was worth whatever she had paid.

hello all I just want to inform you that I by mistake got two new chapters mixed up with each other. and added chapter 20 before chapter 19. I fixed this and am only waiting for the editor to accept the changes. I apologize for the confusion also I read in some comments there was a bit of confusion about Aiden. for those who read the first book "the king and the rejected she-wolf" a while back you would know Aiden as the boy Kai that Mack adopted.
