The OutCasts

The OutCasts

I ask, my servant-bot slowly hovering at the base of my staircases. “Unstoppable had been beaten,” my servant-bot starts,” The OutCasts had defeated him and now, he is begin held in a maximum-security prison cell at IronWall Prison.” “I guess Unstoppable wasn’t so unstoppable after all,” I say, my eyes still focus on the hundreds and hundreds of screens in front of me. As I keep on watching, I see so many people walking around, doing whatever it is want. I see them speeding through the streets. I see them throw their trash everywhere. I see them act like uncaged animals.

Together, We Conquer

Together, We Conquer

Krist squeezed his shoulder one last time for reassurance of his words before letting go and returning his attention onto the screen. “So what movie is this?” “The Outsiders, have you seen it?” “No, but I read the book.” Singto enjoyed reading over any other activity and he was excited to see everything played out live with actors instead of the characters he would mentally picture. “Really? Who’s your favorite character?” Krist asked this expectin him to say the one that was most like. “Darrel ‘Darry’ Curtis.” Singto answered. “Really?” Krist asked adding an amused tone in his regular voice.

Two separate pints of ice cream were melting into sticky puddles next to an open bag of cookies. And in the center of the destruction stood the culprit. Phoebe had changed into a pair of faded denim shorts and a bright yellow t-shirt that had the words “More Espresso, Less Depresso” printed across the front in cheesy, cursive lettering. She was currently holding a smoking slice of toast in one hand, using a plastic butter knife to aggressively scrape a layer of black char directly onto my pristine floor, all while singing along to the terrible pop music at the top of her lungs.

Out of Frame

Out of Frame

I suddenly remembered an audio clip Vivian had secretly recorded and sent me. "Honestly, I get no inspiration from looking at her. Anything I shoot of her would be trash. Wouldn't that ruin my reputation as a genius photographer?" Vivian's photos smiled at me from every wall, smug and taunting. I nearly lost control and smashed one. But when I turned around, Julian was already gone. A crowd had gathered outside a room not far away, craning their necks as if waiting for something. "The grand finale piece is definitely going to be released soon."

So I walk in. Callum's at the stove, spatula in hand, wearing that oversized NFL hoodie he never washes. His back is to me, broad and solid, and he's flipping a pancake with the kind of casual confidence that comes from years of feeding himself after practice. He doesn't turn around when I enter, just lifts the spatula in greeting. "Syrup's on the counter. Coffee's fresh."

An Outsider in My Own Family

An Outsider in My Own Family

She almost lost herself as she yelled, "Do you know we can't even afford to get water now? I've not showered for two days! The bank has been calling me to pay up, yet you're outside enjoying yourself. I don't care, get back here now!" "I can't believe Madam Wellis could ever find herself in such a mess! Unfortunately, the cruise hasn't docked, so I'm not in a position to help out. How about you get Madeline to help you instead? After all, she spent 470 thousand dollars on clothes—she might be willing to help you out." "How would Madie have money when she just graduated?" Mom's voice trembled out of anger. "I'm giving you one day to come back, Heidi. If not, don't bother coming back anymore!

I'm Just an Outsider in My Mother's Home

Mom then turned to me, looking at me with a pained and aggrieved expression once again. "Rene! Are you seriously going to let your dad and your brothers go to jail? They just made a mistake! It was just a family disagreement that should be easily forgiven!" I wiped the blood from my mouth again. "A mistake? You call it a mistake that you all punched, kicked, and forced me, your own biological daughter, their biological sister, to grovel and beg, all for the sake of an outsider? "Tell me the truth, Mom. I'm not your biological daughter, am I? It's Vivian who is your actual daughter, right?"

Trades And Orgasms

Trades And Orgasms

That is only because we have had the rails down so that Briella can play too. "Well done Mr Millionaire" Poppy jokes as she takes another chip off of the plate of nachos in the middle of the table. We've ordered a bunch of food for all of us; all greasy and delicious and we've been slowly picking at it during the rounds. I would have been nervous about Rhodes's new nickname but it seems to be well established already. He laughs it off and sits beside me, resting his arm around the back of my seat.

Fated To My Best Friend's Alpha

Fated To My Best Friend's Alpha

"Over soda." "I'm pouting over injustice," Carly corrected, shoving a stick of gum into her mouth. "They knew summer was coming. They knew I'd be here. This is a failure of infrastructure." "We could go to Henderson's. They have fountain drinks." "Fountain drinks are not the same and you know it." Carly chewed aggressively, then looped her arm through Anna's, swinging their joined hands. "Chris, back me up. Tell Anna that a summer without cherry Cokes is no summer at all."

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

“Careful, those are hot and oozing stuff out the sides.” “That means you did it right.” Chase peeked inside the bag she’d dropped on his lap. Two bundles wrapped in white parchment paper, two single-serving packages of nacho cheese Doritos and two Heath bars. When she shoved two bottles of grape soda in the beverage holders, he gave her a dubious look. “How’d you know this is exactly what I would’ve gotten?” “Lucky guess?” She twisted the top on a bottle of soda. “Or maybe there’s an index card that lists Sundance’s own PBR bull rider Chase McKay’s favorites! on the wall by the hot food section.”

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Love this well written book! Thoughts & emotions are conveyed beautifully! The author makes you feel like you know the characters intimately w/o being excessive or mundane. Hot & steamy w/o crude vulgarity! I wish we could give gems at the end of chapter but that’s the app, not the author’s fault.
