My hands rest heavily on the armrests, fingers twitching with frustration. I look at Adrian, trying to steady my voice before I say what’s been burning inside me. “It’s Zeus,” I repeat, slower this time, almost like saying it aloud gives it power. “He’s the one who told Father about Iris.” Adrian blinks, clearly surprised. “How can you be so sure?” His cocky demeanor falters, replaced by genuine curiosity.

Zeus hadn't even broken a sweat yet. But that sick, twisted man even as his face turned red, and blood seeped from his mouth, he grinned, his teeth stained crimson. The sight sent a chill creeping up my spine. Then Zeus's mouth moved. He said something, and in response, the old man only smiled wider. As much as I wanted that evil incarnate erased from existence, I couldn't afford to have him gone yet. He was the only lead to finding my father. Zeus knew that. He wouldn't do anything rash I know.
