“Is this why you’re asking me about The Sky Guardian and The Lightning Shadow?” Ethan nodded slowly and then turned to my father. “What do you want me to do? What do you want us to do?” My father looked at me and then at my sister. “I’m sorry, Izobel, Amber, but it looked like I failed in protecting you,” He heaved a deep sigh, facing Ethan. “Your council won’t be happy about this, Ethan, but only you and Nolan have the shield to protect us and remain invisible again.” His forehead creased like he was thinking of the right words to say. “I am only asking for three months, Ethan.”

“You think you’re the only one?” “You wound me, Delia,” Gray chuckles. She slaps his arm playfully, letting him know it's time to get serious. He straightens up, as all signs of amusement snap from his face in a split second and holds still while she goes to work on the chain in his hands. She places both of her hands a few inches above the metal and whispers some incantation until a low blue glow can be seen from underneath her palms. When the glow fades she moves her warm copper brown hands and sighs.

Polly asked. "Yes. I don't know what they are yet, though. I'm afraid if anyone finds out, it will cause us to attract more unwanted attention." Selena said as they began stretching. She had never trained, so she just followed along with the others. Alani corrected her stance a few times. Polly and Trisha stretched with them, making sure they did exactly what Alani said. "If it brings us more trouble, then let it come. We'll be ready for anything." Zaiden reassured her. He looked at Gunnar, who nodded. He needed to know that the Shadow Howlers would have his back.

Chandler's legs gave way, and he sank to the floor. He stared blankly at the blood-covered flesh on his hand, murmuring, “It’s really her, it’s really her… “How could this happen?” He asked as he gazed at Ben, his eyes bloodshot, panic and anger surging within him. With a wave of his arm, he sent everything nearby crashing to the ground. Then, he seized Ben’s collar. “Bring me all the data on A167!” His voice trembled as he sank into despair. “Wasn’t it said that the special drug was supposed to be effective?”

They still couldn’t completely control their expressions whenever his fanaticism was being stated by the music box.

“Do you own anything grown up?” “I’m in a punk band, and I’m a sub,” Shadow laughed. “And work occasionally detailing cars. I’m either in overalls, jeans and T, or a g string.” “And you’re still seventeen in your head,” Raven corrected absently. He was not entirely sure how to touch a man and tried to think how women had touched him that he had enjoyed. “Don’t overthink it, Rave,” Shadow said softly. “Just take your time. I’m not in a hurry.”
