Asher professed as the dawn began to break on the horizon. We began to advance towards the direction of the base, but suddenly, we were surrounded from all sides by the assassins and warriors of Shadow Howl Pack. They came out of the shadows and blocked our way. Their faces contorted into sinister grins, while some were just blank-faced as if they didn't wish to be there. Most of them carried advanced weapons like long silver-nozzled guns which I was sure contained silver bullets. Others carried swords and daggers, a few had already transformed into their wolves, letting out haunting growls to intimidate us.

"It *is* the abyss. Destroy it, and it’s over for good." The shadow let out a guttural roar, and the entire void seemed to tremble. Its tendrils of darkness lashed out at them, each one more deadly than the last. Marcus shifted into his wolf form in the blink of an eye, his fur bristling as he dodged the first strike, narrowly avoiding being pulled into the shadow's grasp. Ethan shot forward, his magic slicing through the air as he sent bolts of energy toward the shadow. They struck true, but the shadow absorbed them, growing larger, more ominous with each passing moment. "We need more power!" Ethan shouted as he backed up, avoiding another vicious strike.

I turned towards the Adam behind me frowning in his direction as I pointed at the guy before me, " Do you know him Sinister?" Sinister was not looking in my direction, but rather behind me. His orbs were on another level of darkness, and they looked dangerous.... Dead dangerous. His jaw was tight, and his neck muscles were popped up threateningly. From my blurry vision, I thought I could notice a slight furrow of his thick eyebrows, but I wasn't sure. He was still not looking at me, and at that, I turned back towards the man to see what he was doing . I gaped, wait….

It was pitch black outside and as the goddess of night, Nyx's power was the strongest at night. "I would rather have a black heart than a bleeding heart. I'm done with this back-and-forth talk." Achyls said as she rose higher in the air. Gunanr, Bianca, and the other shifters backed away from her. Nyx, Helios, Hermes, Sebnac, Eris, Andrew, and Jameson stepped forward. Selena and Zaiden joined them. The shifters wouldn't be able to defeat Achyls but the others could.
