Neil's POV I felt so connected to Scythe. It seemed as if we were more than just enemies. Something kept holding me back from going all out on him. Even though I could feel raw energy bubbling in the pit of my stomach, I still restrained myself from hurting Scythe. I didn’t know why, but it felt so natural. I sensed there was more to Scythe than just being the shadow assassin. It felt like he needed my help, and I could assist him if I succeeded in suppressing him.
