I've been seeing the same signs for the past few days so I have an idea that this time won't be any different. Hurrying over to the bathroom and locking the door behind me, I take my palm away from my mouth.... .....Blood.

He begins to cough and shake uncontrollably and I watch in horror as a gush of blood and brownish-black fluid suddenly implodes, reducing him to a pile of guts, bone and fragments of skin. The room becomes unbelievably bright and I drop the crystals when the rancid smell hit my nose. I barely cover my mouth long enough to walk a few feet but it's no use. I was burning up at an alarming rate, my skin was so hot, it was a miracle there was no steam coming off of it. Bile rose up in my throat. I rushed over to a corner, fell down to my knees and began to throw up. My hands curled into the ground and I tried to hold my tethering body in place, my head was spinning out of control. But surprisingly it wasn’t the three slices of toast, eggs and coffee I'd had all day that came out. It was blood, freaking blood. The sight of it alone made me queasier, as black dot slowly began to swim into my vision.

In between throwing up and ignoring the pounding on the door, I stare dimly at the clots of blood. That’s not a dark red. It’s black. I’m vomiting black blood.

Something isn't right. I note the time as I head into the bathroom: 2:57 am. David is asleep, so I close the bathroom door before turning on one of the dimmer lights. My body wants to move slow, but my brain is fueled by some kind of adrenaline. There's a sense of familiarity to my discomfort, so when I sit on the toilet and see blood in my underwear, a part of me isn't surprised. The other part, however, is devastated. I started throwing up, emptying my guts out onto the floor. The doctor quickly rushed forward, shoving a small plastic bowl under my chin. I felt dizzy and a little lightheaded. I glanced down at the vomit and saw it was a strange purple and black color. What the hell was happening to me? Silvia, still pointing the gun as the doctor, carefully stepped over the mess and turned on a small flashlight. She forced my mouth open and shone the light inside.
