I always know.” I walked back to the table, pulling out the ancient scroll I’d tucked beneath the wine bottle. I unrolled it carefully, revealing glyphs glowing faintly beneath the candlelight. “This is how I’ll reach Selene,” I said. “This spell is bound to her bloodline. It will whisper her father’s name in her mind… show her the truth. Just enough to make her desperate.” “Diabolical,” Gazelle whispered with a laugh. “You’re becoming more dangerous by the hour.”

There was another shelf filled with some glass bottles filled with different coloured liquid in them. "Those are the secret spell books which have been hidden and saved from the black witches. These are the potions used for healing wounds and diseases." The priest informed as he looked at the curious faces trying to figure out about them. "Does everyone know about this side of the church?" Leo enquired. "Not everyone is trustworthy." The priest smiled. "How do you know that we are looking for something?" Leo asked. "Instincts are sometimes blessings. Anyways, I called you here to provide you with the information and I am a senior priest here, Arthur." The priest introduced himself.

I pleaded to him with my eye gesture praying he understood my point. I guess he understood me, cause he blink his eyes at me in an assuring manner "Speak up!" The Alpha said coming closer toward us "His sickness has no cure" "What???" The Alpha ask looking shocked, for a blink, I saw her eyes flick colors but they changed back to their normal colors immediately "What do you mean?" Alpha Sheila further inquired. "Your majesty his sickness is rare and if he must live, there is only one way"

It was bound in dark leather, the title barely legible: "The Lament of the Moon." With trembling hands, I opened the book and began to read. It spoke of powerful spells and ancient rituals, many of which had been lost to time. As I turned the pages, one spell in particular stood out. It was a spell of protection, capable of shielding the entire town from harm. But there was a catch—it required a rare ingredient: the heart of a Silverwood tree. I had heard legends of the Silverwood trees, ancient and powerful, but thought them to be long extinct. The book mentioned that the heart of the tree could amplify magic, making the protection spell almost impenetrable.

He chuckled, "Were you talking to Mike? Did you spill our secret?" Luke was undeniably striking. At school, he was an iceberg, cold and untouchable. But in private, he was warm and almost clingy. In the past, I'd have melted into his arms, blushing. Now I just stepped back, creating distance. "Didn't you want to keep us hidden?" I muttered. His eyes flickered as he caught the edge of my tone. Still, he pressed on with the question that always lingered. "You know we can't go public."

One of them caught his attention. Familiars. On the page was a picture of a cat, with white and black fur and bright green eyes. "Quite familiar indeed," Matthew mused, turning the page to read more about these creatures. "Familiars are spirit companions who assist witches in their magical practices. Many of them are in cat form, though advanced witches may choose to put their familiars in different forms." Matthew skimmed over the description, slightly uninterested, but two sentences at the very end caught his eye:

Khalid instructed, offering his hand to me. Dani didn’t question and moved to stand in the living room side of the space. Kurt gave me a concerned look, but I smiled, nodding to him. ‘It will be okay. This is all perfectly safe. Aunt Sarael did make the spell.’ I assured him. Kurt sighed but stepped back, so he was further away. I took my brother’s hand, wincing as he cut both our hands with a blade or blood dripping into the bowl. “Mwen La bois. Donne mu la bois la bois. Invisque saeclum. Bulla. Libérer à vérité à.” Khalid spoke the encatation nodding to me to repeat.

He added dropping a bulky Book on the bed. Vicoliz removed his pillow and took the book looking at it with confusion. "What am I meant to do with it?" "Master it, that is the only way the spear of doom will return to you. That is a Spell book. You just have two days" Seun elucidated. "Where did you get this from?" "Daft Punk, we have two witches in the house" Seun replied and closed the door shut, leaving the room. Vicoliz breathed out heavily as she rubbed his fingers round the front cover.

“I will. Bye!” I yank myself out of the plane and run to Bella’s house, grabbing the spare key under the fake rock by the porch. She said I could use anything I needed. Perfect. I gather supplies fast: bowl of water, knife, mirror, pendant, and a printed map of the Mediterranean. I bless the water, cut my palm for the blood, and heal the wound instantly. The pendant is one Kayla gave me—a wolf’s tooth, which suddenly feels poetic. I whisper the incantations, holding the pendant over the map. It begins to spin wildly.

My heart stopped. “Watch where you’re going,” the all-too-familiar voice of Sabrina sneered. Before I could react, she had grabbed my jacket, pulling me close, her eyes narrowing. “There's no need to hide it,” she whispered, her voice dripping with malicious glee. “I know all about your little secret.” Panic gripped me. “Please, Sabrina,” I begged, my voice trembling. “You can’t tell anyone.” A cruel smile spread across her face. “Oh, I won’t. But it’ll cost you. From now on, you’re my little servant. My errand girl. Do as I say, and maybe, just maybe, I won’t spill your precious secret.”
