“Besides, she might not believe me even if I told her the truth. So I’ll wait. Sooner or later, she’ll realize it herself. I’m certain of it.” A small, confident smile touched Zac’s lips as he stared into the distance. Reid pressed his lips together, doing everything in his power not to laugh. Since when does the boss talk this much? The man was no talker. No smiler and definitely no jester. Just as the thought crossed his mind, Zac’s cold voice snapped him out of it. “What are you smiling about?” Reid blinked, startled. He hadn’t even realized he was smiling. Looking over at Zac’s face, he said, “You know… I wouldn’t have believed it if I weren’t seeing it myself.”

So there I was — wrapped in silk and sequins, my makeup flawless, my mask firmly in place. Even if the man at my side hadn’t said a word to me since our fight. “Smile,” Reid murmured, his hand settling at the small of my back as the cameras started flashing. I plastered one on, my teeth aching from the effort. “I hate you.” “Smile bigger,” he shot back, his lips curving into something that looked a lot like affection to anyone who didn’t know better. “The press is eating this up.” I wanted to step on his foot. Maybe stab him with my stiletto. But instead, I tilted my head toward him, letting the photographers capture the perfect angle.

He never does anything that most people would consider normal and I love that about him. Spencer gives me a mischievous smile. "You ready baby?" I laugh. "I guess so." Spencer chuckles. "Let's do it." Spencer wastes no time, slamming the sledgehammers into one of those super old TVs that everyone's grandparents kept because 'they still worked.' Glass flies everywhere and Spencer just keeps smashing it until there is pretty much nothing left. He turns around his eyes wide and crazy, giving me the biggest smile I have ever seen. He looks like a kid at an amusement park that just found out he won a year's supply of cotton candy.

Downing one of her shots, Maya bit down on her lip, openly staring at him. Walking with strong strides Reid captured everyone's attention and Jordan's air of confidence wasn't far behind. Slipping his hand into his pocket, Reid pulled out a box of Marlboro. Casually using his long slender fingers, he picked a cigarette and sat it upon his plump soft lips. Grabbing a lighter in a swift movement Reid tilted his head and lit his cigarette. Maya watched intently as he inhaled the nicotine. Reid turned his head, revealing his perfectly carved jawline covered in a beard only a man of his stature could rock, to face his brother, who then cracked a joke that Maya couldn't hear, which made Reid chuck

A laugh bubbles up inside of me, slipping past my lips. The corner of Reid’s mouth turns up into a half-smile as he looks my way. “What?” he asks, and I just shake my head, still laughing to myself. “We probably should’ve thought of that before now,” I giggle. Reid shrugs, taking my hand in his. “Maybe it’s good we waited. This way, we have some good news to share after all the bad.” He brings my hand up to his mouth, pressing a kiss to the back of it.

“I need to call dad. Perhaps he has some additional ideas for us.” “Yeah, let’s call him. You know mom will be listening in too, right?” For the first time in a couple of hours, I smiled. “I’m sure she will be happy and furious all at the same time. She’s always the funniest when she is like that, bro. To be honest, I kind of need that right now.” Reid grabs his laptop. He may be all fun and games on the outside, but he is a hell of an Alpha. He still works, even when he is having fun. He starts a video call and after three rings, our folks answer.

He was quiet for a minute, then he said, “Okay then. Smile.” I blinked. “What?” “Smile. And this time, smile for real, Addison.” He glanced at me again, his gaze direct. “I don’t like your fake smiles. They don’t suit you.” A real laugh bubbled out of me, breaking the tension. “Using my own trick against me, okay, Mr. Rex.” I took a deep breath, let go of the worry about my mother, and gave him a real, true smile. “Here. I’m smiling.”

" Spencer's eyes lit up when he heard Tisha's words. Tisha did not realize that she was smiling until she noticed the way Spencer was looking at her. She coughed, "I, I meant that, that night was the first for me so I, erm..." Tisha saw that Spencer was smiling and decided to shut up. Spencer pulled her closer to him and held her chin as he asked in an almost inaudible tone, "if the first was amazing, what about the second?" Tisha bent her face down as Spencer's question made her shy. Spencer found her action cute and realized that he would not be able to keep his promise to her.

I might just go insane here. Reid. Yes, that's a very good person I can meet now. Maybe clear my head while going sightseeing. Great. "Hey." He turned around swiftly and let a small smile spread across his face as soon as his eyes landed on me. "Oh, hi Amelia." He greeted, brushing his hair away from his face. "Hi Reid." I replied, returning the smile. "So I was really bored and wondered if we could go sightseeing now." I completed in a rush, twisting my fingers together.

,I reach for my cell but both pull me back and kiss me. "No I will just take pills baby and it will dull it",Spencer lays back after a soft kiss to my lips. Jason covers us after moving me beside Spencer and he hurries to our pain pills. I take mine and sit back. "Here baby pick a movie I'm going to make popcorn for us",Jason walks off and I'm alone with Spencer. He looks at me and smiles. "Hey my love",he smiles big. "Hi my sexy beast",I giggle as I flip through stuff on N*****x trying to find a scary movie.
