I felt hungry all over again. "Yeah, it may be overcooked though", Spence says and scratches the back of his head. I quickly changed into Lizzy's clothes, as much as I didn't want to. Spence looks away. We both sit opposite each other on my bed, the tray in between us. I cut a little bit of it with my knife and tasted it. "Spence, this is good",I say marveling at the burst of flavors in my mouth. Spence looked at me like he didn't believe me and gave it a taste. He raises his eyebrows.

“Tuesday nights. The Spined Fox bookstore. We read everything from literary fiction to trashy romance. No judgment.” I took the flyer. “I’ll think about it.” “Don’t think. Just come.” I came. The Spined Fox The bookstore was everything I’d dreamed of. Old wooden shelves, creaky floors, the smell of paper and dust and something sweet from the café in the back. The owner, a retired English professor named Martha, greeted me like an old friend. “New face,” she said. “Welcome. We start in ten minutes. Grab a seat.” I sat in a worn armchair, clutching my copy of that month’s book—a debut novel about grief and gardening—and tried not to look as nervous as I felt.

“Look what I have.” “Is this my book?” she giggled as she recognized the cover. “Where did you get this?” “Belkin was telling us how you’re an author. I got a copy. I am very excited to read it. No wonder you are so brave and heroic when you write such stories.” “You do know this is a spicy book.” “Spicy? Cookbook?” “No. Sexy. It’s got a lot of sex in it. The main character has two penises.” “Lucky man! Is the book explicit?” he made wide eyes. “Does he use both penises?”

"Everyone wants to get a little more bang for their buck. Potions can get expensive very quickly if you have to take them consistently. " "Do you… mind if I look around a little?" "Of course not. I'll ring you up at the front." He walked away, leaving me alone in the aisle. As I flipped through the pages, I could feel her presence. I found the hot chocolate recipe and smiled. I could almost see her in the Blue Moon kitchen. I found her recipe for marinara, too, and chuckled. I guessed I shouldn't have been surprised. With the book in my hands, I walked toward the front of the store to check out and find the witch again, but I went still as I heard a familiar voice.

I sighed, moving off her. “Let’s feed your stomach, love. You’ll need energy for later.” I teased. Sarael rolled her eyes but got back up. “Yes, I’ll need lots of energy for all the reading I need to do.” she nodded, opening an app on her phone to place an order. “You like Chinese?” she asked. “What reading? And yes, I like Chinese. I’m not picky. Anything beef is fine.” I answered. “Yes, I need to read up on the unbinding spell, and I want to look through the book Mister Tracey loaned us some more.” she nodded, placing the order.

"You just had to take the good ones. Ate all my iced ones." "These just taste better." Zia (Two) said. She immediately started to snack on it. Afraid Ren might snatch it away. "Mhm so good." Her eyes rolled in satisfaction. "I am hiding my next batch from you. Little cookie monster." "Mei ate six more than me. Humph! Stingy Master." Zia looked away. Mei kept the blush from showing on her cheeks and said nothing else. "Even in front of royalty, they show no fear." Prince Loshan said. "I checked on them as you most likely know. In the "Shoreline," your people did a lot of fighting. Received a lot of items I am told."
