As she stood closer, I noticed her eyes were the same colour as Xander's — a pale gray colour with specks of gold in them. Her breath caught in her throat as she continued examining his features. Xander stood still and silent, a confused look crossing his face each time the woman pushed his hair out of his face or looked at his hands. When she finished, she kept his hand in hers and gave him a timid but loving smile, swiping her thumbs over his knuckles.
