I stabbed over my head, dragging the blade with me towards its rear with a spill of silk. Its belly exploded in scurrying baby spiders, each the size of a housecat. The newly birthed young devoured their mother from the inside out, her screams shrill and lengthy. I ran up onto her fallen corpse, the hard shell of her carapace shattering under my heels, and leapt free, seizing upon a strand of thread that was suspended from a tree. The baby spiders surged up the trunk and I tied the thread around my waist so that I dangled over the massacre, as they pursued me.

I shook my clothes with effort, but softly; trying to get whatever was crawling inside my clothes to come off without raising an alarm. And then it came off. But it landed on my arm. And when I saw the brown hairs standing on end; with four eyes looking up at me, eight legs spread out on my hand, and its body that was the size of mother's comb. I screamed again. Foolishly. But I felt only half guilty. Because it was a Spider. It was a Tarantula. I screamed louder. And shoved it away, sending it flying into the darkness, then shot my hands to my mouth again. Now cursing myself. For screaming. Twice.

When I got to my office, I panicked. I sat down on my office chair and saw a spider walked towards a notebook on my table. I grabbed the notebook quickly and bravely slammed the notebook over the spider. The spider decimated which created a gross goggly look on my table. I grabbed a tissue and wiped the spider with it and dismissed it into a garbage can. By the time I was done, I sat back down and contemplated how Alpha Nate's wound seemed to have healed overnight. It was crazy. Alpha Nate's POV

Everyone was stunned. Butcher smiled. “Hey Alex, you’re just making this up, right? That’s just… too unreal.” Fairy Doctor said, “It’s true. I even locked one up in my Demon Tower Prison. It’s Shura Spiderwoman.” Butcher was surprised. “What’s that?” “It’s the amalgamation of a human and a spider.” “This thing… actually exists? How can a human and a spider even… do that? Is it a demon spider?” Bunty spoke up, “Oh shut up, you silly Butcher. Let Alex continue.”

No way I was missing that. I was halfway down the corridor when some hunched figure nearly collided with one of my guards. "S-Sorry..." That voice. That rasp. I stopped cold. James? He must've caught my scent too—his head jerked up, eyes blown wide. "...Avril?" Fresh off Nightmaw exile, no doubt crawling back to beg the council to lift his criminal brand. Whip scars still crossed his skin. He looked twenty years older—wrecked. I hit him with a dead stare. When he stepped forward, I immediately backed off, leaving air between us.

I was about to stand to see clearly how the fight was going on when someone suddenly grabbed me from the back. "Got you," said the baritone voice as I felt a strong arm around my shoulders, holding me captive. I froze in fear. A man. A vampire. He must be with the long-haired woman!

He balanced himself on his toes and still had the watch in a countdown. He patted her head as she was on the floor shaking. “If you didn’t have too may drinks, this would have been slower” he said. “W-what are you talking about?” she asked softly. “Well poison that’s all” he patted her head again and then grabbed on and pulled her up, and put the timer in her face. “The venom of a Redback Spider causes all the symptoms you’re having now, and can kill a human under an hour. You ingested five to six doses and that could accelerate your death” he grinned.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that he has done some of the renovations already and a part of the space was used to house this pretty spider. The spider is as big as my palm with eyes like buttons. The size of off putting but there is something about the spider that feels familiar which has me staring intently at it through the glass. “Are you a dangerous spider? Is that why you are here all alone?” I ask it, looking around for something to feed it. I spot a small jar of worms. “Is this yours?” I shake the jar in front of the spider. It reacts by twitching. “Someone’s hungry.” I chuckle.

He raised his big fist and rushed forward to smash Zhou Tian's face! He thought that this punch was fast enough to smash Zhou Tian's face. However, he did not expect Zhou Tian to grab the guy's fist so easily. "Ha ha ha ha..." "Ouch!" The spider man's fist cracked and he cried out in pain. Zhou Tian exerted more and more strength. If it were not for the fact that he had not confirmed the identities of these two people, Zhou Tian would have already broken the spider man's fingers. "You're courting death!"

She begins stating random words that they are speaking when I look up to the top screen. The screen was simple enough, just empty streets and darkness. What was above the screen, chilling like it just got home from a hard day’s work, was a spider. Not just a little spider either that would startle me. This spider was a Goliath Birdeater, and it was looking directly at me.
