For the first time in months, I felt like I was finally steering my own life. "Well, I am officially declaring this video the greatest digital asset of the fiscal year," Liz announces, sliding her phone into her pocket and grabbing her tote bag from the counter. "I’m heading down to the basement laundry before the evening rush hits. Don't drink all the coffee while I'm gone." The heavy loft door clicks shut behind her, leaving the expansive room entirely quiet.

"Were you a nail tech before you became part of the pack?",I ask when Spence leaves.I had held his fist the whole time and when Lizzy was done,he got up immediately and left the room.So much for caring. "How did you know?",she says as she draws on a French curve on one of my toenails. "Tell me more about it". Lizzy was a nail tech before she had decided to quit her job and join the pack.She had a boyfriend,whom she didn't know was a werewolf.Long story short,they had a spicy night and instead of giving her a hickey,he gave her a bite instead.

I just hoped it was someone else. Liz came back with a leaf in her hand which she rubbed all over me. "This will also mask your scent." Before I could ask what it was she took my hand and together we tiptoed out of my room. It felt like sneaking out again, only this time not with Alden. It felt like Lola and I back in the pack doing goddess knows what. For a moment it warmed my heart. "Alpha Sebastian is there, and there, beside him is the pack diplomat." Liz whispered into my ear while juggling a plate of hot water.

Slowly, Laurel released her grip on Liz's arm and moved backwards while Cameron took a step forward. “You think you know Liza but you don't,” he pointed out sternly. “She has a respectable job as a singer and not a stripper. So I'd advise you to bring her daughter to her so the both of them can go home to rest.” Laurel looked disoriented for a few seconds before moving back into the house. Liz kept her eyes on the door until Laurel appeared a few minutes later with a very sleepy Annie. Without a word, Liz reached for her daughter and headed down the stairs towards Cameron's car.

Xander's P.O.V. "I have spoken with Lizzy, my company's investigative journalist, about her involvement with the pirates. But from the conversation I heard with her, she kept standing on the ground that she has no knowledge of those pirates and she hasn't been working for them, but me"Xander revealed, as he was currently in Suzan's house.

Selena had hurried back from Milan immediately, she wanted to see with her own eyes if the rumors were true Liz was frozen for a moment, she had barely enough time to compose herself. Though she didn’t know who the woman in front of her was, the hateful look was enough to tell her that she must be one of Phoenix’s people. Liz instantly shook her head and tried to explain “I’m not—”

“Of course… I’m free right now. Where should I pick you up?” Liz breathed out a sigh of relief. “Great, I live in the mansion where Ben works.” There was a moment of silence. Liz checked her phone screen to see if the call had been cut off but it was still on. She held it back to her ear. “Hello,” she called out. “Is this Adrian Moore’s wife?” He asked. “Yes,” Liz frowned, confused at his sudden change in tone of voice. “Uh – actually, Ben told me that you aren’t allowed to go out by yourself.”

Chloe's jaw tightened. I leaned down, whispered, "Play nice," against her ear. She smirked. "No promises.” “Wait! Hold up, you guys!” Lizzie practically flew down the flight of stairs waving her phone like a flag and her hair gathered up in a bun. She was in her spongebob pajamas. “Lizzie, be careful.” Savannah scolded her. She was breathing fast, her hands on her knees when she reached where we stood. “I know, I know. I just need a picture from you both.” She raised a finger. “Just one.”

She said to play along and not be completely embarrassed in front of somebody she was going to spend the next three weeks working with. “Anyway, I have got to run along. Hopefully, my partner is everything Colleen described. What a love story that could be!” Wink, wink. Liz exited the circle feeling nothing but fulfillment. Then slowly, Colleen turned her face to meet Tobias’ amused grin. I am so going to kill that girl! About the same time Liz left, the man himself came up to them. His mighty wonderfulness, Andre Lourdes. Completely ignoring the presence of Tobias, he said to her, “Do we call this fate, Ms. Caddell? My thoughts were just circling you and. . . Voila! Here you are!"

Liz said, glancing at Liam and Zac. "You know it is time for you to retire," Zac said curtly, as he knew what Liz was talking about. "I don't think so Mr. Bratva. Katherine has come home now so I have no worries anymore. So I will just stay at your house for a few days, eat food on your money and relax," Liz said to Bratva without fearing him. She had seen the man from Inside Out. He was indeed a tough guy who did not want to break in front of people; however, the darkness could easily pull out the broken soul whenever it found him alone.
