Lottie's POV I watched as Fluffy approached me, her head nudging at my stomach gently. A cute sound bubbled from her throat. A warm sensation spread through me as Fluffy's touch seemed to resonate with the pups stirring inside me. It was as if they recognised the hellhound's presence, responding with gentle flutters. I couldn't explain how, but despite the cuffs suppressing my abilities, this connection brought me a glimmer of relief. For a moment, the fear and uncertainty faded, replaced by a comforting sense of unity.

Flavius wades through the crowd of dragons until he comes upon a SpitFire much smaller than the rest. Her scales are a brilliant lilac compared to the deep violet of the other SpitFires. She slowly approaches Flavius sniffing his outstretched hand. Flavius uncurls his fingers, reaching for her head. In one swift movement, her jaws snap down on Flavius's hand. He lets out a yelp of surprise but does not try to pull his hand away. Blood drips from the mouth of the small SpitFire. She makes no move to rip Flavius's arm off, which is a good sign.

I approached the two with a slight sigh, maintaining a short distance. Britney had snuck up on Chris from behind, covering his eyes with her hands so naturally now we had reached the awkward part, his hand’s feeling up her arm to get a clue of who it was.

I stood there frozen, feeling like my legs had turned to jelly. My whole body was tingling, warm, and completely overwhelmed. When I finally glanced over, Susie was sitting at a corner table, grinning like an idiot. She winked at me dramatically. I mouthed “Shh!” at her, mortified but unable to stop the giddy smile spreading across my face.
