Selene dropped to her knees beside Lucien, her face a mask of controlled agony. "Lucien, stay with me. Look at me." Lucien tried to smirk, but a spray of blood coughed from his lips. "Always... the dramatic... entrance," he wheezed, his eyes flickering. Virex drifted closer, his nostrils flaring. The vampire’s expression was unreadable, but there was a tension in his shoulders that suggested he knew exactly what was happening. "The Spike is anchored to his soul-print," Virex said, his voice a low vibration. "If you pull it out, his physical form will collapse into the void. If you leave it, he turns to ash within the hour."

Lucas spoke up, the hard look in his eye sending his cousin off silently. It took everything Chloe had to suck air into her lungs and not sink to the ground when Lucas took just a few dominating strides towards her. Being werewolf blessed Chloe with supernatural senses and yet the shadows of night and light of the moon only sharpened Lucas’ features even more. There was something wild and yet put together in everything about Lucas. A true apex predator who had fixed his sights on his latest prey.

Lily could practically see the myriad thoughts flickering behind James' glare as he rapidly calculated his next move, the optimal moment to strike out and go for the kill. Beside her, the coiled ferocity emanating from his frame had her own adrenaline singing, every cell of her body tensed in readiness to join the fray when the storm finally broke loose. Xavier asked as he left the cabin, taking the backpack with him just in case, and headed for the stream, in sight of the cabin for when Zoe returned. 'You know what it means. We are mates. We are with our mate. And yet, you barely kiss. You haven't mated. We are not getting any younger. How long do you intend to keep us waiting?' Spike complained. "Well, we haven't really had time for sex while being tortured or on the run for our lives." Xavier retorted sarcastically as he stripped. The stream seemed very inviting in the spring morning sunlight paired with the scents and sounds of nature.

“See, you look much better now.” Spike felt a little tingling feeling coming from his right cheek and it began to hurt so badly. “Xavier, you’re going to pay for this. As for you Arianna, I’ll make sure the two of you will be stuck in the dungeon,” he said but Xavier suddenly grabbed him again on his collar and made another punch on his cheek but this time, Xavier targeted the wound that he created to him. When he fell on the ground once again, Xavier began kicking him as he rolled on the green grass where the blood from his wound scattered and it looks like someone was murdered in that place and Spike knows that if he still can’t get away from these two, this will be his final for sure.
