Xavier asked as he left the cabin, taking the backpack with him just in case, and headed for the stream, in sight of the cabin for when Zoe returned. 'You know what it means. We are mates. We are with our mate. And yet, you barely kiss. You haven't mated. We are not getting any younger. How long do you intend to keep us waiting?' Spike complained. "Well, we haven't really had time for sex while being tortured or on the run for our lives." Xavier retorted sarcastically as he stripped. The stream seemed very inviting in the spring morning sunlight paired with the scents and sounds of nature.

“See, you look much better now.” Spike felt a little tingling feeling coming from his right cheek and it began to hurt so badly. “Xavier, you’re going to pay for this. As for you Arianna, I’ll make sure the two of you will be stuck in the dungeon,” he said but Xavier suddenly grabbed him again on his collar and made another punch on his cheek but this time, Xavier targeted the wound that he created to him. When he fell on the ground once again, Xavier began kicking him as he rolled on the green grass where the blood from his wound scattered and it looks like someone was murdered in that place and Spike knows that if he still can’t get away from these two, this will be his final for sure.

“Vincent?” Victor muttered when he noticed his younger brother Vince. “And Reiner, Raina, and Sheinna, too.” He added and smiled at them, only to be surprised when he saw Spade. “And she is… the one who acted as Ariel?” he said and smiled at Spade, who nodded back at him. “Yes.” Vince answered with a nod. “Her name is Heart Twilight, and she is a transferee. She will be our new classmate.” He explained.

“You’ve been withholding information in the guard’s presence. I can tell. Now that we’re finally alone, I’d be willing to answer whatever queries you have. I suppose I owe you that much. Besides, I’m taking a small break from working on the cure to the poisons. The least I could do is speak with you.” I swallowed hard. I hadn’t expected this to go over so swimmingly. Usually, Spike was arrogant and at least a little standoffish, but he seemed genuinely grateful to get the beverage of his desire, and his spirits seemed brighter than usual. Though I wasn’t sure exactly what to say, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to get some clarity about my nightmare. I gathered myself and then spoke.

Now that I'd been given a second chance at life, I wouldn't let either of these lunatics with their hidden agendas get away this time. "Since it's a celebration, let's not spoil the mood." Carter's voice pulled me back to the present. I watched as he picked up the wine bottle—the very one he had tampered with—and poured a glass. Then, he pushed it toward me. The dark red liquid swirled in the glass. To me, it was like a venomous snake flicking its tongue. "Stella is our guest. You should have the first toast," Carter said. As I stared at the glass in front of me, my heart jolted with fear.

“What’s wrong?” Nemiah’s hand was shaking as she tried to point something on the ground. Vivar scanned the direction where Nemiah was pointing. He let out a soft chortle when he saw a tiny hairy spider walking around her. “Did you just laugh?” Nemiah asked peevishly. Vivar went closer to her and stepped on the spider. The poor creature was squashed beneath his shoes. “Happy?” He muttered. But he became confused when he saw Nemiah’s reaction. The young lady’s eyes were teary while staring at him like he just killed an entire colony.
