Split Your Lungs With Blood And Thunder Novels & Stories

“Thunder Spread!” Jai shouted. He stretched his right hand forward and thunder shot out of his palm. The thunder skill spread open like an umbrella on the snake’s face. It was like a flashbang, the bright thunder blinded the snake’s sight for a few seconds. But it also managed to hurt the snake’s face, because it recoiled back after the thunder hit it.

I asked the doctor, and he paused to answer. "Once the silver is out, he will be able to heal himself. We have to give it time. Meantime. I will need to transfer blood to his system, while I flush out the silver." The doctor said, and I volunteered myself. The blood was taken, and because I could not allow my issue with Desiree to linger, I asked Kyle to come and stand guard and watch. No blood was allowed to interact with my father. It wasn't because I believed what Tim had told Desiree but because I did not want anyone to claim sabotage.

Dregen’s P.O.V The sound of my heart beating frantically in my chest snapped me awake. My eyes flew open, only to be met with darkness so thick that it seemed almost tangible, the acrid smell of burning flesh almost choking me back to unconsciousness. Then it all came back. Killing the true blood, Saratan, and the punishment. Feeling for something to hold onto in the darkness, my hands slammed against the rough wooden walls and I bit back a groan as the pain from the silver seared through me like hot coals. It was torture just to suck in a breath.

I shook my head, a sense of dread settling in my stomach. Penelope's eyes held mine as she began to unravel the harrowing events of that night, her voice a mixture of clinical detachment and underlying emotion. "When your last opponent slammed you down, the force was so severe it broke one of your ribs," she started, her hands gesturing subtly as if to paint the picture more vividly. "But it wasn't just a break. The rib splintered, and a shard of it punctured your lung."

A cry of agony rips off his mouth, filling the entire room and I shudder in my place when I see blood start oozing out of his big scratch that is given by Thunder as his shirt is now torn apart. Dante's scream does not last long when he falls unconscious or maybe… Died? and I keep watching that horrible view with my body shuddering, mouth wide open just like my eyes. As Thunder gets up, he looks at Ace who is shivering in front of him. "No, no, no, please, no…" he keeps chanting as he raises his hands in defeat and shakes his head at thunder but no response comes from him. Thunder tilts his head at Ace as if mocking him and Ace cries in his place. Before he can make another request, Thunder

I heard the snapping of my bones before I felt it, Perses’ large hand squeezing my body tightly. I felt panic and rage flood through my bond with Mike and Zach , and the shadows slithered in between my skin and Perses hand, trying to pry us apart even a little bit. They did their work and I was able to draw a small breath in, feeling gurgling in my lungs from a punctured lung and the blood flowing into them. I was going to drown on my own blood it looked like, and wasn’t that just peachy? I heard Mike roaring and felt the warmth of his fire as he tried to burn Perses, forcing the God to let me go. Laughing darkly, Perses only squeezed tighter, and I heard Zach growl in frustration. Jay and C

ZOEY The acrid tang of smoke clawed at my throat, searing my lungs with every ragged breath. Flames danced before my eyes, licking at the tattered wallpaper and gnawing at the wooden beams above. Each crackle and hiss was a taunting whisper, echoing the inferno that had consumed my childhood.

She tilted her chin toward the hallway and said, “See the door with the blue light over there? That’s a licensed blood donation center. It’s open twenty-four hours. Ma’am, you can sell your blood for some money.” She paused, her gaze settling back on my face, as if measuring my reaction. “Not only will it be enough to buy that box of medicine, but it might even help you chip away at whatever debt you’ve got on your credit card.” I didn’t want to sell my blood, but I wanted to survive. So, I had no choice. The needle pierced my skin, and I watched as my blood rushed through the clear plastic tube into the collection bag. The first bag filled quickly, and the machine let out a soft beep.

I drove the blood-coated silver blade straight into the center of the phantom's chest. The exact millisecond my blood-slicked metal made contact, a violent, blinding shockwave of white-hot liquid exploded through the alcove. The phantom warrior let out a deafening shriek as its entire skeletal frame instantly disintegrated into a cloud of black ash, its blue eye-flames snuffed out permanently. "It's the blood!" I screamed fiercely to the front line, my voice carrying an absolute command over the roaring blizzard. "Coat your weapons in your own Alpha blood! Channel your spirit into the steel and aim for their chest! It's the only way to kill them.

“There’s plenty of blood in the forest that will be better.” The shadow lunged again. Something solid slammed into my chest, knocking me off my feet. Denric and Jarek were thrown back as well. Jessa gasped and stumbled back, then the shadow wrapped around her. Her eyes bulged as she clawed at her own throat. A line of red seeped through her skin, as though a long claw was being dragged across her throat.
