LENA'S POV It took me minutes of staring at the ruins to realise what I'd done. Red flames clouded the sky, turning the moon into a faint blur through the smoke. Within a split second i was running through the woods, terrified by the plain sight of the ruins. My legs carried me faster than i thought they could, though each step felt like a rip in my veins. My body was awfully weak, broken from starvation and torment, but fear gave me some sort of strength.

Mom was busy putting away the materials, so she didn't look up as she said, "Sorry, but we're not taking any more orders today." She turned to me. "Rosie, can you go take a look?" I grunted.
