My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

Each one designed to duplicate, reflect, or degrade an input signal. Elira placed a hand on one of the light emitters. "This one is in bursts." Caelan observed as it flashed. "Since echo is not necessarily about precision." "It's about how far the intention gets." A youth threw a switch. The light turned red. Then flashed in response. Then again. A beat, passed on. Not perfect. But persistent. --- 9:09 PM — Sector C, Cooling Field Ridge They trudged along slowly under the feeble arc of night-clouds, through a field dotted with breath-powered lanterns—tiny capsules that glowed when heated in the palm. They weren't bright. Just constant.

After The Divorce, He Regretted Everything

After The Divorce, He Regretted Everything

Not rage. Something worse. Disappointment. “You see,” Yvonne said hoarsely. “They choose each other.” He looked at her slowly. “And you think that wins,” he replied. The lights above the stage died and the stage went completely dark. The crowd screamed. Emergency lights blinked on. The screens changed again. Not hospitals, power grids in the cities. The entire regions was blinking red. Marcus’s voice sounded through her earpiece. He yelled, “He connected the devices to the system. This was just the first step.”

A DRAGON TALE

A DRAGON TALE

She spun around quickly then she raised her hand and all the light in the room extinguished, save for a green orb that illuminated the room… *** Raisel yearned to stop Isolde once and for all, it was all she desired as she proceeded to stand to her feet. Blood trickled down the small gash on her forehead. Her vision was hazy, she blinked repeatedly, her eyes struggling to make sense of what was before her. She saw the incense that Isolde was always inhaling floating like it was slowly dropping to the ground. Something was odd, then the lights went out and a green light illuminated the room. She looked around to see that everything was moving at a much slower speed, the blue orb in Isolde’s h

The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

Mac commented, being naturally calm and collected. Ruhan slapped his arm. “Mac! Help Mugen!” Raka swiped his hand to the tentacle that was holding onto Mugen and light green light appeared on from his hand towards the tentacles. The tentacle was cut, but it didn’t cut whole the way to the other side, and dark orange light glowing from the wound. “What is that?” Raka anrrowed his eyes. “Are those the blood or the flesh? That got cooked by the heat?” Jai asked Carrola.

Luna of the Menae

Luna of the Menae

I look back at the Menae. A soft golden glow engulfs the outside of their circle, spiraling inward. The light creates a gentle, strobing effect that matches the cadence of their song. As curls its way toward the center, goes to the center, it turns red, then silver, then blue, and finally violet. The alluring lights grow brighter and seem to dance in a spiraling pattern around the women.

This story was “ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL”!! I love love loved it!! So well written & very descriptive!! The characters had such depth! My favourite characters were Bronx and Kas(Iokaste), of course!! They went through “SO” much, but made it through!!
Sarah Geer
Love this book and this author. She has found a way to write two books that seem like completely different stories but then happen to intertwine at an unexpected point. Ever chapter she posts leaves me wanting more. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

RED STRING

RED STRING

She then swallowed hard when he squeezed her hand. "Let me do it," Drago uttered. Heat crawled on her face as she hands the needle to Drago. Raven took a step back and nodded, but despite Drago's cold demeanor, Synth can see the ghost smile on his lips. Jerk. Synth mentally uttered. After a brief period of unconsciousness, Lucien eventually opened his eyes, and his thoughts immediately went to Ysobella. He quickly stood up from the couch but he halted when he started to feel dizzy.

Transmigrated Into A Billionaire

Transmigrated Into A Billionaire

She was so pissed, she couldn't endure seeing Yandel put his hands around that bitch massaging her shoulder and instead of her to take his hands off as her fiancé was in the fucking room, instead, she rested on his goddamn shoulders making herself comfortable. "Argh!!" Maya screamed out, kicking the beautiful pebble stones kept around the amoeba pool into it. It was night and there were different colors of light placed in the huge amoeba pool giving it a very beautiful shine to it. There were red, green, golden amber and a deep purple light around the pool and inside of it making it look like a pool of colors, the pebbles she kicked into the pool made ripples of transverse waves making the c

The Unwanted Chance

Zviad frowning as he moves his hand, purple lights come shooting out. The purple lights danced around the room taking hold of all the bowls and trays. There were some lights heading towards me. As they came closer, I found myself scooting away from them. I can see Zviad grinning from ear to ear. Why wont he leave me alone. “Zviad!” Jeong shouts. The lights stops, picks up the bowl, and heads out of the cell. “What? I was just getting the bowl” as Zviad laughs and leaves down the hallway.

Green Light

Green Light

The building's silhouettes suddenly became the dark night sky and the lights from their windows suddenly were twinkling. "Isn't that beautiful?" I asked when I saw a broken stoplight, the red light was blinking and the green and yellow once didn't seem to work. I thought it was aesthetically pleasing, under the gloom of the night, along the empty streets and silently passing cars. The slow blinking of that stop light seemed to harmonize with the quietness of the evening. I looked at Edgar and he was frowning at the stop light. "Pretty much could cause traffic, goodness, that should be fixed," he said and I rolled my eyes at him.
