Stabbing Pain Under Left Shoulder Blade When Breathing Novels & Stories

I breathed in sharply as I felt a sharp and throbbing pain in my lower stomach, hips, and low back. It hurts to breathe when standing up, it just flat out hurts to stand period. My eyes started to burn as I held onto my lower stomach as I made my way to see who was operating the boat because it was clearly on Santiago and the boat was moving at a good pace. I winched with every step I took along with a deep inhale. I discovered another painful throbbing feeling that was in my nether region. It also didn’t help that the fabric down there kept rubbing it causing slightly more discomfort.

A small plastic square, unassuming and utterly out of reach. I let out a quiet breath. Reaching it looked like a monumental task. I inhaled carefully and shifted my weight, inching toward the left. The pain hit instantly. Not sharp—searing. It exploded through my shoulder like fire under my skin, ripping a sound from my throat before I could stop it. The noise came out wrong—too raw to be a cry, too broken to be a growl. It startled me. That definitely would have been heard. Instinct took over. My right hand flew to my left shoulder, fingers pressing down as if I could physically hold the pain in place. The pressure met thick bandaging.

I folded it and pressed again until the bleeding slowed. My hands were shaking as I reached for the vegetables. I pulled out a carrot and a knife and set them on the cutting board, but my fingers couldn't seem to grip the handle properly. The knife clattered against the board, and I had to stop and press my palms flat against the counter and take a breath. My shoulder throbbed with every heartbeat, and my jaw was stiff and sore, and I could already feel the swelling starting to puff up the skin under my chin.

She breathes out slowly and smirks a little, “Keep telling yourself that.” He smirks then frowns at her, “I’m okay, keep going.” He nods and refocuses his energy. It was moving faster now, and the pain was now much sharper. She hisses as it moves suddenly, and then gasps when she can feel it against the inside of her skin on the left side of her stomach.

Grinding pain. I hissed through my teeth, jaw clenched tight. No time to baby it. I leaned back against the rock, locked my spine, gripped the wrist with my left hand. Steadied my breath. Counted to three. Then jerked it forward and up. A sickening pop tore through my shoulder. Vision sparked white for a second. I bit down on a guttural noise and forced myself to breathe through the pain. It held. Joint back in place. The climb was slow, but I made it up.

To my hip, up my stomach til he stops right below my left breast. “ it seems I was wrong…. But I know you are awake in there with that said” he says. I could hear him walking but my hope for him to just leave is futile because I hear him move to my right side and doing the same thing up my right side that he did to the left starting at my ankle and ending below my breast. Then before I can recover from the pain. A shooting pain radiates by my collar bone as he drags what ever he has over my collar bone and acrossmy chest to the other side then stops then I feel it again this time down my right arm to my wrist. Than I feel it in my other arm.

He was coming. Fast. The pain in my left shoulder throbbed relentlessly as I struggled to catch my breath. I fled the chaos erupting in the hotel where we had been staying. The smell of blood and flesh clung to me like a curse—one I feared might haunt me until my final breath.

I felt a burning pain in my chest, especially on the left side. I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to move my hand towards where I felt the stabbing sensation, but I couldn't move. I moved my fingers to make sure I could still use them and groaned in pain as I did so, not understanding why it hurt so much. I tried to recall everything that had happened, but they were just fleeting flashbacks that came to mind.

SLAM. By the middle of the first period, my whole body was screaming in pain. My left shoulder was badly bruised, and every single breath I took felt like a sharp knife poking my chest. They were trying to tire me out completely. They wanted to break my bones so I could not skate fast or use my quick moves anymore.

“Or I’ll—oomph.” Sharp, sudden pain lanced my left shoulder and spiked its way down my arm until it exploded out the tips of my fingers before abruptly going numb. Nicolette screamed. No longer in the mood to flirt or do anything but curl into a ball and howl in agony, I tried to inspect the paralyzing intrusion that had punctured me, but when I looked down, my vision darkened at the corners. Dizziness ensued. My conscious brain flickered. “Ah, fuck,” I muttered when I finally caught sight of the long, thin shaft with a feathered end sticking out of my shoulder, right in the front tender, meaty area under my clavicle, in that empty space the rib cage didn’t cover.
