Heart thudding out of my chest, mild pain in my ribs from being slugged over his shoulder, and scorching heat in my groin, the panic followed all of it. A quiet groan slips out before I can stop it. “Yeah… that’s not good,” I mutter, my voice low, a faint edge of frustration slipping through despite everything.
