Stalked By The Kraken Novels & Stories

My home, my dream, everything is destroyed. Pulling down, deep into the water, the Kraken clenched its tentacles, knocking the breath out of me. My ribs cracked, light as cement, I was sucked deep into the water. The Kraken's mouth loomed, razor-sharp beak waiting. I was about to die. Given my entire life up to this point, it was probably inevitable that my death would be horrific. The tentacles clenched again, crushing bones. As the kraken ripped my flesh with large, meaty bites, I tried to scream. Blood bubbles foamed out of my mouth, and then there was nothing left but a beak covered with gore.

Once I’m sure that everyone is doing as they should, I make my way to the bow of the ship so I can get a better look at exactly what is attacking us. When I arrive, my eyes widen as I take in large tentacles erupting from the ocean's surface. Oh good, we were dealing with krakens. Immediately, my mother’s own personal kraken, Bruno, pops into my head. Sometimes when I was frustrated, I would fight with him, and he was a nasty bugger. Continuing to take in the view, I start to count just how many we were dealing with, and when I find that there are at least four present, I let out a string of profanities.
