A sweet riff from the horns sent shivers down my spine. I’d never seen anything like it in my whole life, nor been anywhere even close.. The people were out of this world as well. I turn just to see a police man on his 40’s is looking at me. I look towards the corner and I see the police station with his fellow police men looking around. I have no more choice but to deal things the way it is now then I can think of a way to return to Evetora later. I smile then sigh. “Oh I am fine sir, a little cold but I am fine. I am... I am in a cosplay but I fell on the pond.” I said lying hoping he will believe me. Thank goodness, cosplays (costume play) is introduced in our world or I will look really odd with my current look.

“Alright, what’s everyone going as? Oh oh oh we should be the Suicide Squad! Luna could be Katana and then Lexi and I could be Enchantress and June and then Axle and Six could be Joker and Harley and then you 5 can fight it out for Rick Flag, Deadshot, Boomerang, El Diablo and Killer Croc!” Everyone nods and the guys start calling their characters. Once we’ve worked that all out, we plan to go costume shopping tomorrow. When Halloween rolls around, I invite Six to come get ready at my place since she’s going to have to do all my makeup and my parents are at some kind of charity event all evening anyway.

“We’re almost ready.” Celeste took a sip of her coffee. “No trailers? No fuss?” Mara’s grin was quick, conspiratorial. “I promised you plain, didn’t I?” Celeste laughed softly, warmth humming through her ribs. “Yes. You did.” Inside, she changed into the costume, simple trousers, a worn cotton blouse. A version of herself that wasn’t glammed or armoured, just… human. She sat at the small vanity Mara had propped by the open French doors, dusting the faintest touch of powder over her skin while someone pinned her hair into a loose knot.

Margo pulled me back in the shop where the Rebels and Saints were celebrating. I smirked as I looked around, spotting Thrash, Sunny, Joker and Thor dividing up the weapons with gleeful expressions. We walked over to them and chuckled. "Y'all look like kids in a candy shop." I laughed out as they turned to us. "Come here, girls! I haven't gotten my hugs yet." Thrash demanded with a grin. We hurried over and he gave us each a rib cracking hug. "You three just get prettier every time I see you." he flirted.

No responsibility whatsoever. "Steampunk Captain Hook-nice!" A camera flash nearly blinded Zain. He cringed and gritted his teeth against the burst of memories, the white blossoms against his eyelids. The onslaught of images battered at his brain, but he'd long since learned how to navigate this perilous undertow. His grin was more of a grimace, a barely contained snarl caught in his throat. He didn't mind the photographs, he expected them. His newest cosplay get-up was considerably more elaborate, and of course, he didn't mind posing. What he would prefer was a little common courtesy and being asked permission.

"Fire." Sue smiles. "That's one theme down. And now, the after party?" "Arsonist?" Tara offers "Does an arsonist wear it on their clothes in bold big letter? Everyone! Look at me. I'm an arsonist!" Raya throws back through the screen making everyone laugh. They still bicker even through the phone. "What about a costume party? Come as whatever you like?" "No. It will be too racy for some people. We should keep it together."

Ha. We were seated at the corner booth since we were both done with our duty. She and I both had changed out of our work clothes and I knew I still smelled of grease. Stella was wearing a maroon V-neck blouse that was a little too deep for my liking. Her watermelon-sized breasts were literally spilling out of her top and I wasn't even tempted to keep looking. Her skirt was extra short and I knew she was desperate for my attention like a chimp craving for a banana.

Rex whispers, making me laugh. "Hey fuck off; I have my fantasy; you guys have yours." Seth slumped in his seat, pouting like a child as Terry consoled him with a kiss on his cheek which made his frown turn upside down. "I cosplayed once," Ares announces out of the blue. "I wore a white tux, with a black dress shirt and tie. Looking like James Bond." I shift in my seat to look at Ares. "What you wore was your communion outfit. That wasn't cosplaying."

"Yep! Now, the event we've been waiting for. Performances from our celebgrams! Zetta, Brand Ambassador of CreaGo! Please..." I had already changed my clothes. All the costumes had become more covered up because I asked for an extra jacket or cardi. We are supposed to appear with a white T-shirt, black baggy pants, a hat, a mask, and sunglasses. I asked for an extra jacket and it is immediately approved. How could I not, there would be a wave movement that is a little too sexy for me. The song starts, and we're already in our positions. Luckily I am on the other side of Mr. Harold, not right in front of him.
