The next evening my sister brought up the costume party that would change my life forever. Sorry, that's "cosplay party." My sister and her friends were into dressing up in these costumes. A lot of guys were into it as well, but it wasn't something I'd ever been interested in. When she asked me if I wanted to dress up in a costume and go to the party with her, I looked at her and shook my head. "It's not even Halloween!" I objected. "Why would you have a costume party?"

Their conversations became mature very fast. “Well, I’m not in charge of it at the moment,” was his reply. “I’m sure Dylan will think of that for Halloween. He likes things like that. He went through a cosplay phase during his teens.” The memories were coming back. Dylan had loved Halloween parties because he could have a much more expensive costume than everyone else. If something involved being flashy and showing wealth, it was guaranteed to be something his cousin loved. “What did he like to cosplay?” Lucas asked as he opened the fridge.

"I saw your cosplay videos a few years ago... What motivated you to cosplay?" Meera's eyes lit up, it was a topic she enjoyed. Voice filled with nostalgia, she replied, "I found joy in it. Back in college, I joined the cosplay group and soon became the 'queen of cosplay'. It was fun until the former leader began to pick on me..." Her smile slowly faded as Ben's face popped into her mind.

The next morning, Jay was just about to leave the house when the three children appeared before him. Baby Robbie and Baby Zetty were dressed in children's tuxedos, and their hair was slicked back into a mature hairstyle. Traces of makeup could be seen all over them. Jay ignored them as he asked, “What are you doing?” “Daddy, we’re cosplaying as Mommy’s favorite movie stars. When she sees us, she’ll be so happy. Who knows, she might even be so happy that she forgives you and we can all come home together!”

That's when I saw the cat masks, I popped them into my cart and the rest became history. I ended up with a couple of fishnet sets, a cute nurse cosplay outfit, knee-high socks, nipple clamps and a pretty gag ball. I thought against the last two, fearing it'd scare her off, but I just couldn't. I was dragged back there over and over until I added them as well. But now? After my little creepfest, maybe not buying it yet would've been the best idea. I reply curtly, like I didn't nearly pop a nerve because of her late response.

"I'll say. They're going to a club full of weird teenagers right now." "What do you mean a club with weird teenagers?" "Yeah, they go to a club that requires every visitor to wear certain clothes that can disguise their identity." "Ah, you mean the cosplayer club?" said Randall. "What is a close-player club?" Jace frowned even more. Mike and Randall looked at each other like idiots when they heard Jace's question. Rain was standing in front of the club entrance in a Princess Jasmine outfit that was transparent in some parts. Beside her was Benjamin, wearing a pirate costume with a blindfold.

Lila smiled up at him, pink wig slightly disheveled, horns askew, breasts exposed and marked with light bite marks. “Best con ever,” she whispered, pulling him down for a slow, tender kiss. Alex laughed breathlessly, still buried inside his living fantasy. “I think I just fell in love with a cosplayer.”

I remembered what she told me back then, she wanted me to see what is usually happening at events inside of a convention center. But before I could answer, Tuffin interrupted us, forcing me to clench my fists while shaking my head. “Isn’t he supposed to be drawn by Hayleigh? What happened to him now?” I rolled my eyes before deciding to make us both breakfast. With my huge money and connections, I instantly got two tickets for us and ordered something we could wear at that place. There are no rules if you need to cosplay or not, as long as you paid your fee, you can wear whatever as long as it does not disrespect other people there.

"Oh I saw these cosplayers with some crazy dresses Richard and Alejandro would love, so after we finish here I want to get them both cosplay dresses," he told me with a grin and I nodded in agreement, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

“Relax, I just see him like a celebrity crush or something. His costume game is so on point.” Adela narrowed her eyes, not sure if she believed her. “You serious?” Cici jumped off the bed and plopped down beside her, shaking her arm a little, half-joking, half-whining. “You only think that ‘cause you see him as a regular guy. But in the cosplay world? He’s kind of a big deal. And his band’s music? Not bad at all—he’s got quite the following.” She even looked a bit proud as she said it.
