“Have some water”, Kiara said as she stretched a cup of water towards Stan, who was coughing and gasping for air. He couldn’t tell what caused that, but he could swear that the question and the look in Mr. White’s eyes was terrifying. “I’m good”, he murmured, and returned his gaze to meet that of Mr. white. “I didn’t hear your last question, sir”, Stan lied as he stared at him. “Kiara!” Mr. white suddenly called out as he shifted his gaze to his daughter.

I asked, half expecting him to shiver in his chair. Instead he did the most unusual thing expected from a man in his position. He cracked up with laughter. I stood upright, stunned at his idiocy or bravery. I signalled for Stan and brought with him a bucket of cold water and he splashed the cold water in his face. “He’s been acting like this the whole time,” Stan whispered to me. “You think he’s faking it, thinking he will get out of here alive?” I looked at the man on the chair. “I can hear you two monkeys chatter,” the man shouted, and Stan rushed over to the man, but I stopped him.

Amber questioned Stan, her eyebrows coming up in question. Stan moved his lips but no sound came out other than a strangled, frightened groan – his blonde locks falling over his forehead, and when he didn't move a single finger to push them out of his eyes like he usually did – I knew that the situation was going to escalate quickly. "He is afraid of open waters," I mumbled. "I did not know that this was going to move?" Stan managed to stutter out – his hands trembling slightly as he steadied & braced himself on the bar.

Scarlett's POV The man stands up with a hand supporting his heavy body on the table, then starts stretching his limbs in a string of painfully slow moves, ignoring me and Ava in total. His hair is messy, and his smelly clothes loosely hang from his beer belly. Then he opens a bottle of water, rinses before he swallows the water in his mouth, and splashes water on his face and head until the bottle is empty. He grabs what looks like a dirty shirt and wipes his head.

"If you don't want to drink, then don't," Iris said, placing the cup on the table. Stanley fell silent. He was already starting to miss her peaceful and beautiful sleeping face. "I'll drink," he finally said. His throat was parched. Iris picked up the water cup and inserted the straw into his mouth. Stanley drank eagerly, sucking the water through the straw like he was sucking milk from a carton. After finishing the cup of water, he finally felt a bit better.

“Alright, off you go! It’s time for you youngsters to go after your future. There’s no need to waste your time on an old man like me.” When Stan arrived at The Great Wall Club, everyone who saw him nodded at him and greeted him. As he pushed open the private room on the top floor, he found Zachary already waiting inside. “T-man!” When Zachary saw Stan coming in, he stood up and greeted him. “Zachary, tell me everything!” Stan told Zachary after sitting down. “T-man, I went to North River Province for business and stopped by River City to ask Howard about Luna, and also to see her, but Charles found out about it…”
