“Can Ryan join us?” “Why not?” Jeremy responded with a shrug. “I’m sure he will love to. But remember my mum always ends up in the pool with Sylver after their rendezvous in the woods. Bring your swimwear, people. ‘Cause I don’t think Ryan will be very happy if his son is exposed to dicks and boobs at this early age.” He drawled with nonchalance, hoping he sounded convincing enough. He didn’t want it to look weird when his mate went swimming in his trunks like he knew he would. “Yeah, Ryan wouldn’t want that.” Stan snorted. “I really don’t know if the dude will ever be used to our love for nudity.” Stan’s look of bewilderment made the other’s laugh.

All black. “Stan?” I breathed, my best friend—or stranger—turned brother from the UN. “Close the door, Sky,” Stan said reluctantly. I shut the door and locked it. I didn’t put my bag down—at least not yet. “How did you get in here?” I asked. “I taught you how to pick locks, remember?” Stan stood up slowly. He was right. Stan was good with devices. He could hack anything and get in anywhere. He looked at me, scanning my face, probably noting the dark circles under my eyes. “You look like hell, dude,” Stan commented.

“Can’t I roam around? I won’t stray far.” He stared at me and pressed his lips together as if thinking. “Hmm…Okay! Just bring your phone, so I can call you.” I nodded, smiling. Stan took a quick bath and left while I changed my clothes and decided to roam around. There are people around, and I’m enjoying watching them swimming. However, I couldn’t help but feel envious. I want to swim too. Sadly I don’t know how. “Miss, you might want to check our souvenirs. Check these items out.”

Stella answered and removed his hand from her. Stella went to the water and soaked herself, she was enjoying the water until someone held her waist. She stopped and looked at the man who was holding her, "Why are you here?" She asked Brandon. "We need to talk!" Brandon told her, which made Stella smirk at him. "Nah! I'm busy!" Stella answered and pushed him away.

CHAPTER 5: THE ENCOUNTER One pound in front and the windshield broke into pieces. The man's eyes darted on me at first, then it went to Stan. I knew he wasn't human but how he stopped a speeding car with one hand still left me dumbfounded. I've seen different shades of violence, but something as extraordinary as that is not something I'm used to. "What are you doing?" he calmly asked Stan, I don't know if that is his real name or if he gave me a fake one.

While not quite as tall as Luca, he was broad-shouldered and just as muscular. As soon as the man saw us, Luca stopped walking and stood patiently, waiting. "Take five everybody," the man said. "Get some water." Exasperated sighs of relief could be heard from the group as they scrambled for the bright orange ten-gallon water dispenser that was propped beside the fence, eagerly grabbing at the cups stacked on top of it. "You must be Caroline," the man said to me as he approached us. "I'm Blaine. I'd shake your hand, but I'm a disgusting sweaty mess right now."

“Even my assistant gave me a look like she wanted to chain me to my desk when I went to take a piss the other day.” “Your assistant can chain me to whatever she wants to,” Stan joked, making thrusting movements with his hips. The guys around him cracked up and nodded their agreement. I didn’t know which one of the assistants from the pool had been assigned to the new guy, but it didn’t really matter.

“You’re so adorable, Missy. I was just messing with you, and you took it seriously?” “Besides, why would I trouble you with something like that?” I wasn’t sure if I was imagining it, but he seemed to put extra emphasis on those last few words. I let out a breath, unsure if I felt relieved or a little disappointed. “My name’s Stanley Lewis, but you can just call me Stan.” As he spoke, Stanley casually pulled off his tank top and walked shirtless into the bathroom. It wasn’t really a full bathroom—just a small area sectioned off with a semi-transparent curtain.

Stella smiled. "What are you smiling at? Do you think that you look good when you smile? Your smile looks fake. Don't think that I don't know anything. You look like you are trying to cheat me of my money with your smile," Owen said in an unfriendly tone. Stella chuckled, got up, and poured a glass of water for the old man calmly. The old man was puzzled, "How much is this cup of water?" "I won't charge for this cup of water," Stella said in a pleasant voice.

I tie his gloves, patting him on his back as we make our way into the ring. The crowd spots me and begins to chant my name. “Killer, Killer, Killer” I growl, annoyed that they would do this on Stan's big night, but Stan just shrugs his shoulders with a grin. He may be a big man with a big punch, but he is just such a laid-back guy; nothing brings him down. Stan, the man, takes down his man with a KO in the second round, not that I expected anything else; the man is in his prime.
