I found Tayo before I found Ronan. The old man was in his usual spot by the stream, but he wasn't sitting. He was standing, which I hadn't seen him do without his stick. He was knee-deep in the water with his trousers rolled up and his walking stick lying on the bank like something discarded. The stream moved around his thin legs and he stood in the current with his eyes closed and his palms flat on the surface of the water as if he was listening to something it was saying.

The water man said joyously as he held the bones in his chest and it entered his water chest, floating all around him. "Remember your promise father to bring back the dead people." Tharollin remembered his father. "Of course my son. Thank you for bringing me back my bones." The water man said and started moving about in joy. In his state of happiness, the water man didn't see the little mischievous smile which appeared in Tharollin lips.

“No Stan, stop what you are doing! I won’t allow anyone to get hurt on my behalf.” I moved past Gabe trying to stop them from fighting. I recognize Stan, he is a rogue who Thane works closely with to get intel about other packs. I met him only once, in the hallway of The Foul Moon Packs’ packhouse. He was standing propped against one of the walls near the dining hall. I noticed him looking at me and licking his dirty lips at the same time. I asked one of the servants who he was, and she told me all she knew at the time.

I dropped my gaze to the waiting group and understood. Stan was staring at us, radiating authority as he stood legs spread, arms folded in jeans and a dark blue shirt. "Get your rears over here!" Our eyes darted to each other as we stepped forward. Stan was a scary bugger, made more so by the fact that I was still convinced he would rather me dead than in his nest.

They were not afraid to offend people like Stanley. Stanley's mouth twitched. "Hey man, that's nonsense. I'm not a playboy. You guys must have misunderstood something.
