Stanley glanced at me with a frown and stood to grab his bag. “I'm nothing Lexi, just a poor guy that got caught up in a shit show. I found this place when I thought about running from that crazy woman Kali but she promised me that I would get my just rewards against my real father who abandoned me if I stuck to her plan,” he snapped in irritation. “I'm sorry that your upbringing was so difficult and that we lost our friendship back then,” I said honestly. Xavier asked, "Since you like Rachel so much, why don't you court her?" "I did, but she turned me down." Stanley's lips curled into a bitter smile, which had a trace of self-deprecation in it. "Then again, I'd already expected that outcome. Rachel views me as a friend. I was the one who crossed the line." That was the end of the conversation between the men. Xavier no longer pursued the topic. Instead, he started downing glasses of beer. The men weren't satisfied with just drinking beer after that, so they switched to wine. Now that Xavier and Stanley were mixing their beverages together, the alcohol got them drunk faster than before.

She said I needed to put in my best effort to make the relationship and if in the end, it doesn't work out then I'd know I did my best. I was just coming out of the University library when I bumped into Stanley. I hadn't seen him since the other night. "You school here too?" I couldn't believe Stanley was schooling in Nevada of all places. He was full of surprises. He shrugged and gave me his usual cocky smile. "I told you what happened the other night, didn't I?" I couldn't recall what he was talking about. "No", I shook my head. "I don't think you did." "Of course, I did. You weren't listening."

Stanley strolled in with his hands in his pocket. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He smiled at both ladies as he approached where they were seated. "Not at all. I was almost leaving anyways. I just came to see how my friend and peanut are doing." Katherine rose to her feet and Lauren did the same, though a little slowly because of her bump. "Hi, babe." Stanley placed a kiss on Lauren's lips. He kissed her forehead before possessively circling his left hand around her waist. "You two are so adorable!" Kathrine gushed.

Mike confirmed. “Holy cow.” Liza exclaimed, wondering if she had ever been snobby with the man in any of those times he called. Recollecting how his voice usually melted her heart even through the phone, she gave a silent breath of relief. Watching the expressions going through her transparent face, Mike smiled knowing full well her thoughts. “Wait, did you just say Stanford International Hotels? The same Stanford that’s known all over England?” Liza asked again with wide eyes. “Yes, the same.” Mike answered slowly wondering why Liza was acting like it was a big deal.

Hayley replied and looked away to avoid shedding tears. Stan said nothing. He knew that she was angry especially since he did not let her know about his plan to relocate to Africa. “How is the place? Do you like it?” Hayley asked still looking away from him. she could sense him approaching her and she turned to face him with a fake smile so he doesn’t think that she was going to miss him or something. “I hope you like the place?” Stan paused at her smile and was confused. He nodded briskly and replied. “Uh… yeah. It is a wonderful place. I like it. They’ve got wildlife, forests, mountains, lots of beautiful sites to see and they are just beautiful people.”

Stanley said and they all walked back to the apartment. "Who's that?" Austin asked immediately he heard a knock on the door. "Human being, fûcking open the door for your second wife!" Stanley said. "Oh my goodness Stanley!" Austin said and opened the door immediately. He engulfed Stanley in a tight hug immediately he saw Stanley. "Don't tell me you left your companies, because of Rowen?" Stanley asked immediately they disengage from the hug. "He's my love, so we are inseparable, I'll do anything for you because I owe my life to him" Austin replied.
