I continued reading and I was enjoying her book, even though I did not really take her liking to her in Bridgerton season one. I think my problem with her was how she treated Penelope. They were friends, yes. But Eloise most times spoke at Penelope and not to her. She was self-involved. She assumed that because she did not want to get married, that Penelope would also not want to get married.

“J-just… a brush. It wasn’t—” Theo silenced him with a hand pressed gently but firmly to his lips. “Don’t speak,” he murmured, voice low and rough. “I don’t care. I feel it.
