Liam stood by with hands glowing violet. Alex was recording everything. "It's over, Zero," Jackson said coldly. "Give me the names of your remaining cells. And tell me who supplied your tech." The room exploded with gasps. Candy’s mouth fell open, her face draining of color. "W-what?" she stammered, shaking her head as if she had misheard him. "No, no, no—Mr. Stanley, you don’t mean that! You saw the footage, right? You saw her steal it!" Stanley’s expression remained cold, unmoving. "I saw everything," he said, voice devoid of any warmth. "Including you entering my room first. Crane’s eyes gleamed. “Because my legacy didn’t die with me. It multiplied.” He pointed to the boy. “To him.” He pointed to Elias. “To you.” And then— He pulled a remote from his coat. Elias shouted— “Don’t—” Crane pressed the button. The far wall opened. Revealing a second Elias. Eyes dead. Hands twitching. No soul. Just machinery wrapped in flesh. “Meet Version Zero,” Crane said. “The control specimen. The one with no memory. No emotion. No resistance. Pure obedience.”
