The atmosphere was tense, a palpable unease settling over the group like a shroud. Kade stood at the center of the camp, his presence commanding attention. His gaze swept over the rogues, a predator surveying his domain. "Gather around," he called, his voice slicing through the morning air. The rogues assembled, forming a loose circle around him. Charollet remained seated, her heart pounding. "We have a traitor among us," Kade announced, his eyes locking onto hers. Murmurs rippled through the crowd. "Charollet," he continued, "has been deceiving us. She is no wolf. She is a human spy, sent to infiltrate our ranks."

Because of what the rogue did, Cassandra was forced to let him go. "You are not going to win this war, mutt!" the rouge said while they circle around each other ready to attack. He suddenly leaped at her, and his claws grazed her shoulder. Cassandra barely managed to escape before his claws lands on her face. She hissed in pain. Cassandra angrily pounced at the rogue, pinning him to the ground biting his neck. "I, Cassandra Louise Reese, the Alpha Female and daughter of Blake Reese am commanding you to stand down rouge!" Cassandra venomously said. Her father raised her to be strong.

Pandora cracked the pod seal and wrapped the embryo unit. And then we bolted. But just as we hit the last door— It burst open. Smoke. Flames. Shrapnel. Cassian was thrown into the wall. I attempted to shout. And there in the fog—mask off, gun in hand— It was Leo. Smiling. "Tell me, Raine," he said menacingly, "what's it like to steal back what was already yours?"

My eyes dart around the forest, the moon shining through as I tilt my head. “Rogue King Michael Knox. A pleasure to finally meet you,” Cassian replies as I swallow hard, looking at Gamma Suri, who doesn’t bat an eye as she stares at me. “I wouldn’t say the same, considering your choice of meeting for such a meeting.” His voice is laced with disappointment as Cassian takes a step closer to the man. “Alpha King,” I whisper to him as he smiles before walking toward the rogue King. “Forgive me. But this was the safest way for us to meet.” Cassian apologizes as I stand by his side, watching Gamma Suri. If she tried anything funny, I wouldn’t hesitate to put her down.

"You... I... I didn't know you were coming." He didn't answer me. He stepped into the room, his presence shrinking the space until there was nowhere left to hide. He stopped three feet away, his gaze raking over my face, lingering on my lips, then settling on Ryan with a lethal intensity. "Out," Cassian said. His voice wasn't loud. It was a low, rasping command that brooked no argument. "Y–you want me to leave?" Roxanne blinked, confused. Cassian's eyes flicked to her for a fraction of a second—a look so cold it made her take a step back. Then his gaze returned to Ryan.

The tension in the air felt suffocating, as though something—or someone—was lurking just beyond the edge of their vision. Suddenly, a figure stepped out from the shadows, moving swiftly but quietly. Selene’s hand shot to her dagger, ready to strike, but Ronan’s voice stopped her. “Hold,” he whispered. “It’s just Cassian.” The figure emerged fully into the firelight, revealing a weary-looking Cassian. His eyes were narrowed, his stance guarded, and his clothes were streaked with dirt. He looked as though he’d been running, and Selene’s heart skipped at the urgency that radiated off him.

Nathan said. "She pulls any girly shit, I'm packing and coming home," Norman said. "Will you both stop worrying, I'm telling you it is going to be great." Nathan said. "Yah that coming from the man who’s bed she will be in every night. Why is her assistant coming?" Jacob asked. "Her assistant is Susan," Nathan told them. "That makes perfect sense now," Norman said. Nathan went over to the map and charts on the table, Norman and Jacob followed him. Look, Cassie said she would have never stayed in that wing, because she could not see the sun rise." Nathan said.

Something that would make me feel alive again. "I'm in," I said immediately. Dustan's eyes met mine, and something flickered in them.He smiled. "Good." "Wait." Cassian stepped forward, his expression skeptical. "You want to go after a rogue wolf pack. With all of us. Including—" He gestured vaguely at Dustan's chair. "How exactly are you planning to keep up?" Ruth shot Cassian a warning look, but he didn't back down. His eyes were fixed on Dustan, waiting for an answer.

I was going to die here or be raped by some perverted psychopath that would force me to have his child. Suddenly, a door flew open, startling me as I realized there wasn't a handle on the inside. The loud clang of metal hitting the wall made me wince. I instinctively curled up into a ball, attempting to shield most of my exposed body. The rogues who had abducted me entered the room. Rogue One, the one who seemed like he was in charge, tossed clothes in my direction. "Here, put these on," he grumbled, avoiding eye contact. "Mmmm you're a pretty one," the other one purred in a way that instantly made me want to vomit.
