Louis Reginald Sparks, twenty-seven-year-old vocalist of the band Run Up My Galaxy, charming and a minion of fate, like any normal person, loved surprises. In fact, I used to love it. His younger brother Tom is too. However, the surprises presented by their common beloved woman with the gentle nickname Kitsune sometimes made them pretty nervous.

"You'll also be given Healing Powers and will be the Pack Healer, too." "Well, that will go along with my Veterinarian skills." I shrugged. "What else?" "That's the most important," Elias said as we exited the elevator and headed down the hallway toward my suite. "But there are other skills, too." "Like what?" I found this life intriguing now that I was becoming a part of it. Xander shrugged. "The Luna could tell when the full moon was coming and is in touch with astrological happenings." "She could also sense when there are dangerous rogues around, too," Elias added.

Saint piped in with an elated wave and an almost child-like grin showing off both rows of her teeth, "hi, I'm Saint, the Big Man's Beta. Really is an honor to meet you." "You're totally fangirling right now," Dea grumbled with an eye roll. Sam both voiced and signed, "It's embarrassing. Pull yourself together." "Don't shit on someone else's parade just because you're not having fun," Saint glowered, sticking her tongue out at Sam. "That's your beta?" Sydney's voice was a soft whisper but, beside Sam, we all had enhanced hearing and heard her. I licked my lips and shrugged, "She's exceptional at her job. Don't take her childishness as weakness."

Stella replied, "It's just Felicity and me. Do we really need a caretaker?" Keegan suggested, "A robotic one." Stella paused and asked, "You're not talking about Luna, are you?" Keegan clarified, "The second generation." Luna, the initial AI prototype developed by Keegan's company, had cute, round features reminiscent of Baymax. Keegan brought Luna home, and Stella was the first to test it out. She was thrilled to be part of beta-testing and explored all the features to help Keegan check the robot's functionality.

"I've never wanted anything for you but your happiness. Please grant me this." His head drops and Derrick places his arms around my brother. My goodbyes are quick after that. Now I'm fully dressed and flying on a crazy female dragon with a death wish. She's breaking all the rules of the realm with no care that the U.S. military might shoot us down. "Hold on," she yells into my head. A fighter plane comes out of nowhere as Roxy, as she asked me to call her, rolls to her side and takes us between two tall buildings. "We're doing this all the way to Arizona?" I question softly into her mind because her yelling has given me a headache.

Hello, Future Generations. My name is Saber. I’m the current Queen-to-be of the Fox Skulk (Foxes have Skulks like wolves have packs). I understand if this is a new concept to you or if you think that this book you have found can’t be real. I mean, Fox Skulk? Fox Shifters? Magic? If you’re a normal human living your mundane life, I’m sorry, but I’m about to blow the lid off everything you know.

“You don’t get to question my Beta. Not about this. If I don’t want you to know, he is not going to tell you. No one is going to tell you.” “I’m not questioning your Beta, Xavier.” Her tone dropped, low and steady. “I’m questioning you.” My wolf stirred, a low, rumbling growl rising in my chest. “You’re my Luna,” I warned, the command already lacing through my voice. “And you will act like it. Crossing that limit is going to have consequences, and you can trust that you are not going to like them.”

Halfway through their dinner, Moran turned to Vesta because of a startling memory. "Hey, PrimeStar Technologies is growing its staff. Do you intend to give it another go? Although Vesta had recently traveled overseas, she was already aware of PrimeStar's recruitment campaign. In all honesty, she was very tempted. After all, joining PrimeStar would greatly advance her career because they were known for their state-of-the-art technologies.

With a synchronized click that sounded like a bone snapping in the silence, all three children pressed their palms onto the plates. A pillar of pure white light erupted from the center of the hangar, piercing through the reinforced mountain ceiling like a needle through silk. The Starfang Ark didn't just turn on; it roared. The engines ignited with a sound that drowned out the world, a blue-white fire that turned the slush on the floor into instant, blinding steam. The entire mountain range seemed to shudder, the Frost-Pins groaning under the sudden birth of a star within their heart. "Final authorization required," the voice boomed, the sound now shaking the very stones beneath our feet. "A

Not today. Today, I rest. Dax is holding me. Micah is chasing fireflies. Luna Rose is naming the stars. The door opened again. But this time, I'm not walking through. I'm staying. Right here. With the wolves I love. Forever.
