Dream Love
She smiled, patted my hands, tucked the blankets around me like one would a child, and left the room.
The bars were set on a timer to lower at sunset, but the windows needed to be manually darkened. That particular night, the windows in my room were left clear. I lay on my side and looked out at the brilliant moon as it mingled with a sea of stars. It was beautiful.
I sat up in bed and peered into the moonlit night. My bed was only a few feet from the window, so I was able to see the rippling water reflecting the yellow gold rays onto the colorful trees of Indian Summer that bordered it. It was a picture perfect view.
