“I mean… I’ve been out for weeks. The world’s spinning. Everyone’s busy. But you… you stayed.” Tina looked down at the folded blanket on the bed. “Because I care,” she said after a long moment. “You’re my friend, Liam. I wasn’t going to let you be alone.” Liam’s throat tightened. He looked away, then back at her, voice quieter. “Feels like I’m back at square zero. Everyone moved on. And I’m… starting over.” Tina stood up and walked to the window. “You’re not back at zero,” she said. “You’re just starting again. And that’s okay.”

I guess I did hurt the people around me and maybe I should use this second chance given to me to make everything right. "I miss you Gale " I whispered softly doing my best to forget all that happened but where am I to start from right now, maybe I should focus on fixing all the relationships around me first. Am back at the beginning once again, new life here I am. Starting over may not be that bad after all but moving on will be the hardest job for me but since am here then I should take it step by step.

But I stayed firm, the weight of my own pain grounding me. “Starting over should never be about guilt,” I said softly, though my voice held a cold edge. “Not guilt over losing someone you cared about.”

Everyone went silent in the office, waiting to see what I would do after Zack had blown up. I nodded, my expression unreadable. "Yes, Zack. You were good to me before. Back when the company had only seven or eight people, you taught me step by step and gave me many opportunities. I have always remembered that, and I have repaid that kindness. I worked day and night, closed deal after deal, helped the company survive, and helped it get to where it is today."

I was going to help rescue animals—creatures who couldn't cry out for help the way humans could. Maybe we'd been apart too long. Tony and I no longer belonged to the same world. "Tony," I said, "I've applied to join an animal protection branch of Doctors Without Borders. I might not come back." He looked stunned, his eyes flickering with both regret and longing. "I really am grateful for everything you've done," I continued. "But I think you can already feel it—we can't go back. We're like two lines that crossed once, only to move farther apart with every step."

There was only sincerity, raw and untamed. “I never thought I’d feel this way,” Stefan murmured. “Not after everything that happened. After the mess I made of everything.” He leaned back slightly, his eyes never leaving mine. “But with you, it feels like there’s a chance to start over. Like maybe we can find something real. Something that doesn’t have to be defined by our past.”

He glanced at his wife and calmly said, “I know you love him, but I think it would be better for us to start our life together immediately.” She turned back to look at her husband and said, “I know you love her, but I feel that it is time for us to start our new life and forget everything.” They both finally said the things which they wanted to say for a long time, but the only difference is they didn’t say to the people they thought they would during that “long” time.
