Crafted from dark, shimmering stone and veined with glimmers of silver and glowing green crystal, the gate loomed at the foot of a colossal mountain. Vines snaked around its edges, adorned with strange flowers that pulsed with an ethereal light. Yet despite its breathtaking beauty, the gate stood resolutely shut. Seraphine reached out, pressing her palms against the stone. Nothing.

“Let me in, Rowan. I’ll call Aneliese… and you can talk to her yourself and ask her to come back.” “I don’t want to get back with Aneliese, Gabe. Dust and rust fell from the hinges as the sixty-foot durasteel doors slowly parted, revealing the sprawling, chaotic army waiting outside. The roar of the crowd died down instantly. Thousands of eyes locked onto the gates.

If there was someone more qualified to be the leading face of Aegis, it would be him. The van stopped. "We're here," said Rhed as he killed the engine. Ryder wheeled Leison out first. The headquarters loomed over them. Ryder thought that the walls were useless since the buildings inside were too high. It looked like an ancient fortress with all its black bricks and smoke-shaped carvings--the symbol of Hearth. The building was another proof of one of their good deeds. Ryder and Leison approached the iron gate where a fist-sized ruby was studded. It shone and basked their faces in red light. When the light died down, the gate opened on its own.

The gates were at least four stories tall and the same wide, they connected to fences at least three stories tall and they spanned so far in each direction I couldn't see where they ended or even bowed into a curve signifying a corner. They were beautiful Rose gold leaves that twisted around in sets of three to form the bars. The border that formed the gate was a golden yellow. In the centre of the gates was this amazing and beautiful women, she was shades oranges and blue and her hair was long and flowing. It was like her hair was blowing in the wind spread out but in an elegant way. It was Shades of blues and greens. This reminds me of the spriget back home at the The Spring Hollow Pack.

We will probably die like all the others. *** Xander's POV *** The eastern gate of the Obsidian Citadel was a masterpiece of military fortification. Heavy, reinforced titanium-steel doors, thirty feet high, etched with thousands of overlapping defensive shield runes. To any normal army, it was an impassable wall. To me, it was just a monolithic server begging to be crashed.

How could someone be this cold and still look so damn composed? Without opening his eyes, the corner of his lips curled into a faint smirk. “What are you looking at, sweetheart?” Heat rushed to my face. “Nothing,” I muttered quickly, turning my head toward the rain-soaked window, silently cursing myself for getting caught staring. The car slowed down as we approached another massive set of solid steel gates anchored into high stone walls topped with security cameras. A sensor chimed somewhere near the dashboard, and the gate doors swung open smoothly without a sound.

Even so, it seemed familiar… somehow. I was standing in front of the main gate to the whimsical property, which was solid silver. I could see a large infinity symbol standing diagonally, covered in vines and filigree running down the middle of the gate. I could see the separation in the symbol where the gate would open, splitting it into 2 pieces, one on each side as you walked through.
