Step Into Reading 1 Books Novels & Stories

I placed all my things neatly inside a bag and put the bag on the bed. I took a deep breath and a looked around the room. It had been my room for years, so many years. I shook my head feeling foolish at my sentimentality, it wasn't like I was going far. I slouched back on the sofa in the living room, picking up a book from the table and flicking through the pages, I had read it before but I needed something to occupy my mind until my parents got back, otherwise I would spend the next couple of hours worrying.

The Headmistress introduces herself to us, whilst other teachers were trying to keep the girls back. Making an excuse, I ask where the toilets were and disappear in the direction the headmistress points which happens to be the same direction as the alluring smell. Walking straight past the toilets and following my nose, I enter the library, an odd place to find someone when it was lunch time and when everyone else was outside practically drooling over me. Opening the door and stepping in the large library, the smell grew stronger, my mate was definitely nearby. Books filled the room, stretching from the floor to the ceiling, so my mate is a bookworm, I can live with that.

He said. “I have one but it’s already chapter one.” I said hesitantly. “Read it for me, please…” *Cataclysm Chapter 01 I'm walking on the hallway of the school to pay the books I need. Everyone is busy talking to their old friends, some for their newfound friends and what makes me agitated is it seems someone is following me and it seems someone is watching me every corner of the school. It makes me feel uneasy. ---

I begin to stand up and grab the smaller hamper when Lorie begins to speak. "Um.. Layla?" She says hesitantly. "Yes." I reply back gently. "Can we read a book tonight?" She asks with pleading eyes. "Sure!" I reply. "What did you have in mind?" I ask as I approach the side of her bed. Slowly Lorie pulls a book out from under her pillow and hands it to me as I sit down on the bed next to her. The book is a mild chapter book and the label reads "Hank the Cowdog".

“Can’t have a notebook without a pen.” “Will you read a chapter to me?” Caitlyn asked. “Before you go to see the others?” “Of course,” Chloe said, reaching for the book. “Now lie back and get comfortable.” Chloe cleared her throat dramatically and then opened the cover of the book. “Harriet the Spy. Chapter one. ‘Harriet was trying to explain to Sport how to play Town.’”

It was now or never. Her heart lashed against her ribcage as she slowly opened the door just enough to peek out. Not stopping at her chest, the damnable thing proceeded to climb up into her head and beat in tom-tom fashion against her eardrums, making it nearly impossible to listen for sounds of any type. She had no choice but to rely on her eyes. After reassuring herself that the dimly lit hall was actually empty of roaming vampires or centuries old humans, she cautiously slipped through the narrow opening that she’d created and gently closed the door.

Hello to my readers! This chapter is the last chapter for LOGAN and just to warn you it's a bit longer and I don't want to split it in half because this is an epilogue. My footsteps echo, lamps lighting and going out as I pass through the aisles. Shelf number 89. And on its 11th row must be that memoir. How I’m going to reach the 11th row is another question entirely. I can barely reach upto the eighth one. I look around for any kind of ladder of stepping stone but come up short. I blow out an irritated breath. Forgive me, knowledge. I step on the fourth row books, and grab the wood above to reach the eleventh row and start reading the names on the spines of books there. After several tomes about travels across this world, I find the one I’m looking for.

"Shut up and go to your own room. I don't care if you read it loudly just don't let me hear it or else I'm going to throw it away." Yesha stands up while pouting her lips and slowly go out of her room and walks to her own room. She can't help but sigh when she's finally gone. She doesn't understand why her sister is very addicted to that comic book. What can she learn from reading that book? It's just a fiction story created by the wide imagination of the author.

I feel a tiny smile twitch at the corner of my mouth when I see the curly haired muscular boy, and the straightened black haired girl. "Let her in." The voice of a woman commands, and the siblings immediately step away from the door. I squeeze the arms of my chair because I can't wheel myself in. The muscular boy, sensing I need help, scratches the back of his head, before moving over to my back to wheel me inside. "You must be my step mother." I speak up for the first time, when I'm finally inside. And the lady sitted at the side of his bed, nods, watching my fidgeting of hands tentatively.
