I knocked on the door and waited a few minutes for it to open. "Hi, sorry to bother you. I'm Christopher," I said, and she was a little surprised, looking me up and down. "Are you Christopher Villiers, Beatrice's stepson?" she said slowly, seemingly in disbelief. Because up until now, we'd only communicated through Marion. What I’m sorry about is the way she found out. "You’re sorry?" She scoffs as she finally stops before me, and she shoves me, jabbing the pointed finger into my shoulder. "Elizabeth, why?
