“Don’t worry. I won’t do anything.” Mark said, “I told you, I’m here to establish myself in Celestial City. Why would I dirty my hands?” Mark’s voice was so calm that Stephen felt a chill go down his spine. For an instant, many scenes flashed through his mind. The attackers at the speech, the criminals who kidnapped Richard, and the thugs who kidnapped another businessman’s child. Stephen had a bad feeling and hurriedly rushed out of the station, trying to call Mr. Lynch. However, no matter how many times he dialed the number, the line did not connect. He quickly informed the police chief and told them to search for Mr. Lynch.

He flashes a small smile and a nod of the head. “Morning, everyone! I’d like you all to meet the lovely Lisbeth.” Davon speaks loud and firm. He extends a hand to the first male. “This is Stephen Rowland. My second-hand man.” Stephen offers his hand. Stephen is equally as handsome as Davon, with medium length black hair and a smouldering gaze. I take Stephen’s hand and shake it. “You’ve already met Gabriel Stanley.” Gabriel raises his eyebrows and winks playfully. I smile and wink back.

“I don’t know what you think you saw—” “I saw the grunt from the lower barracks,” Stephen snarled, stepping into her space, towering over her. His voice was cold and dead, more dangerous than any yelling he could have been doing. “I saw him waiting in the trees. I know you were trying to set a trap for her. Haven't we done enough to her?”

I could not allow anything to happen to me and I knew that Tony won't. Before I could say Jack, he was already moving towards the door, ready to take on whosoever was there. "Who's there?" He asked. "Open this fucking door before I break it down!" It was Stacy's voice and I heaved a sigh of relief when I heard it. "Gosh, I do not have the strength for the drama she is about to bring with her now," I said to myself as Tony looked at me, wondering what he should do. "Just open the door for her. Knowing her, she won't stop till she finally has what she wants. She may even break down the door if it takes," I told Tony and he was quick to open the door after that.

“That’s how you got to know Donatello?” “Yes, and no” I said, shaking my head “Donatello and I were classmates at school. The two of us were even good friends. He knew about the abuse my dad inflicted on my mom, and eventually, one day, I asked for his help. He didn’t kill dad, the man is still alive as a rogue, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t hurt him. Eventually, mom met Vitaly and married him; however, I know for fact that the scars he left are still too great to heal”

Looked down at my lunch tray like it personally offended him. "You're the hybrid everyone's talking about," he said. I set down my fork carefully. "And you are?" His jaw tightened. "I'm Lucas Stone. I abandoned my truckload of assignments to deliver his stupid whiskey and he still has the nerve to treat me like trash. “What the fuck are you still waiting for?!” Bethany’s voice snaps into the silence. “You heard him, servant girl. Drop the bottles and leave!” The mockery in her tone has my blood boiling.

I knocked on the door and waited a few minutes for it to open. "Hi, sorry to bother you. I'm Christopher," I said, and she was a little surprised, looking me up and down. "Are you Christopher Villiers, Beatrice's stepson?" she said slowly, seemingly in disbelief. Because up until now, we'd only communicated through Marion. "Well, I'm sorry I didn't tell you in advance that I was coming. You can call me if you don't believe me," I said, and she immediately invited me into her house.
