My eyes darted around the gym as I watched guys gush over how sexy the cheer team were. Not to lie, they were all hot, including the guys, with the hottest one being Valerie, the cheer captain and my nemesis. I could not help but glare at her with jealousy brimming in my heart; Valerie was the queen of Ravers High School. She was the typical blonde queen bee that was super rich. As much as I hate her at times I wished I had her perfect body so that I would be out there with them. I love cheerleading, but unfortunately, I wasn't built for it.

The laughter of the cheer squad girls echoed down the hallway . I kept my head down as always, clutching onto my books tightly to my chest as I walked faster, praying to be useen by my usual prey, but unfortunately luck wasn't really on my side today. The group of girls from the cheer leading squad blocked my path near the lockers. They were the usual bullies around here., and they loved picking on me. They were also like everything I wasn't and always wished to be; pretty, popular, and sexy, the basically had all the hot boys at arms length. They were really cruel when they smelled weakness which meant I was like their number one predator around here.

In high school, we played volleyball, basketball, softball, and I was even a cheerleader. We weren't the best players, but we did it mostly because people doubted that we could. We were always getting stereotyped, as lazy big girls, that only eat and sleep. We were especially looked at when we tried out for cheerleading. They were shocked to see a big girl try out at all, but by the end of it I made the team. I was actually good at it, really good. In fact I was asked to coach our community squad, which I did for about three years and my girls were really good they made the paper and even won first prize in college level talent shows all three years.

He pulled a face as he opened his text book. “The cheerleaders were fun at first. It’s always great to be noticed by those who are meant to be at the top of the social ladder, but the truth is that most of them are shallow, vain and more interested in their push-up bras and social appearance than they are of their future. That just bugs me.” He sat staring at the same page for a few moments before he continued.

"All rich girls are popular and cheerleading makes them popular," she said, "so if you don't want to do it, then you're not rich and maybe you weren't even popular in wherever you say you came from." As always, people glanced my way intrigued, partly scared, and the rest puzzled at how Cassain could be so devoted to me. I noticed my friends seated at our table, yet before I reached halfway there, a few people obstructed my way. Cheerleaders. An entire squad of them. Looking like storm clouds with an overpowering smell of coconut oil. At the heart of it all stood Alyssa Chadwell. Leader of the rival team’s cheerleaders, girlfriend of the quarterback, who once attempted to ask me on a date and seemingly the head of Poor Decisions Incorporated. She crossed her arms. Flashed me a charming poisonous grin.
