Before I can do anything else, my door swings open, and Sarah walks in without knocking, as usual.
When she sees me, she stops and then she bursts out laughing.
“Oh my God, Ava,” she says, doubling over and clutching her stomach. “What happened to you? You look like a boiled lobster!”
“Leave me alone,” I mutter, turning away, but she doesn’t stop. She just laughs harder.
“Steve is going to love this,” she says, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes. “He’ll probably run the other way when he sees you.”
