===== Derek ===== The bass is deep enough to feel coarse through his bones as he moves through the night club, Sirens. It was just like any other wanna-be lounge out there in Larrissa’s Bay, focused mainly on the sea. Why they were there was beyond him. Derek rolled his shoulders as he tried to regain some sort of comfort in the stiff leather seating that sectioned off the floor. As he panned away from his pack mates getting comfortable among the dancers, Derek crossed his arms, one over the other as if he was the Alpha to please.

It made his skin glow in the light, and his cheeks redden when he realized I was looking at him. "This is Derek. And that is Stiles." He introduced them both to me. They each reached out and shook my hand. Their smiles were warm, and they had an almost angelic quality to them. "Hi. It is nice to meet you both." I responded to them politely. "It is nice to finally meet you too, Em." Derek replied. "Likewise." Stiles added. After we exchanged pleasantries with each other, Derek took my hand and led me towards one of the couches. Once we sat down, he pulled me onto his lap.

Stiles had his arm around Grey, who was wearing a hoodie and looking a bit pale but steady. "Look at the royal couple," Stiles joked the moment he saw us. "You guys actually look like you slept. I, on the other hand, spent half the night making sure these cute eyes didn't turn into a human popsicle," he announced, pulling Grey closer to himself. "Sure, Stiles," Grey teased, leaning his head on Stiles's shoulder. "Whatever helps you sleep at night.” Riven rolled his eyes, but he was smiling. "At least you didn't faint in the fish barrel, Stiles."

Not today girl, I wasn’t going to look like a clash today. By the time we stepped out of the room, Elara’s arm was looped through mine, her chatter filling the hallway. I let her drag me along, the picture of two friends about to spend a carefree afternoon. My stomach, however, remained tight with the weight of what I knew and I was conscious of everything that was going on. The door creaked open, sunlight spilling across the large pack house windows and there, in an awkward looking trouser, stood Derek. You see, Derek had always had plans of becoming a model, he and his twin sister Daniella, but they hadn’t gotten any gigs yet.

Derek’s dress was bright purple with sparkles on it, and Lucas’s dress looked like something from a high school dance party. It was tight, pink, and with fluffy sleeves. Both of them had wigs on their heads. Blonde curly ones. “What the hell?” I whispered trying to hold back my laughter because they looked ridiculously funny. They catwalked in like runway models, trying to do a serious catwalk, swinging their hips like they were professional models. Vivian stood beside me, grinning from ear to ear. “Just watch,” she whispered. I started to laugh. I didn’t want to at first, but I couldn’t help it because Derek tripped on the carpet and stumbled, nearly falling.

Derek leaned against the wall, flipping the padded stick from training in his hand like it was a toy. “You’re in a good mood,” Kael said. Derek didn’t look surprised to see him. “Watching the ghost grow teeth was entertaining,” he replied. Kael stepped closer. “Leave her alone.” Derek laughed. “Seriously?” “Seriously.” The stick spun lazily in Derek’s fingers. “She embarrassed herself,” he said. “I barely touched her.” Kael’s gaze didn’t shift. “You knocked her down four times before she moved.” “And?” “And I don’t like bullies.”

Justin was yet to come back, and with my knowledge of male fashion, I seized an opportunity by taking a chance on my job as an assistant. When I told Derek that I was going to be the one to style him, he got a little bit disappointed but still allowed me to do my job. I got him stylized with simple jeans, trousers, a rocker top, and a leather jacket. Derek had already gone on the show after the commercial break when Justin arrived with a man. "Wait! Did Gena come back?". He stepped forward to me and asked. "No, she didn't." I replied. "Okay, so who styled Derek?". He kept on asking questions.

Derek yelled over the music. “You know him?” Deidre said in a high-pitch tone. “You don’t?” “Well, yes.” She admitted uncomfortably. “That’s Georgie - or that’s what she calls him. They’re best friends You never met him before?” “Oooh yes,” Derek sneered as he eyed them. “I’ve met him.” “Derek, please. It’s just innocent flirting. She’s entertaining the crowd,” Deidre said as she turned to the stage. “See – oh!”
