“She’s alive.” Noah’s eyes widened, his brows knitting together in disbelief. “What do you mean, alive? We all saw—” “I know what we saw,” I interrupted, holding up a hand to silence him. “But the fact remains—she’s not dead. She’s been out there, hiding, and she hasn’t made a move yet. That’s what we need to figure out.” He shook his head, his expression shifting from disbelief to something more akin to frustration. “How can you be sure? I mean, who told you this?”

I took a dramatic pause to gauze his reaction, “Your sister isn’t dead. She is back, alive and in one piece.” “What?”

I have a few questions but what matters to me at the moment is that they are all alive. And I was not dreaming. Not at all. -The End-

Probably the one who had vanished from the most fortified place in the world, without a trace. “I thought we concluded he’d died escaping through the storm tunnels,” an elder muttered, looking at the beta, who had a note pad on his hands, furiously clicking away. “No,” Beta Rowan cut in without looking up from his writing. “He’s alive. The readings say otherwise.” “What readings?” Damon asked, his brow furrowing,

Empty soul. “Zed.” Hailey’s voice cut through, trembling. She grabbed my arm, her nails digging into me like she was anchoring both of us. Her cheeks were streaked with ash and tears. “They’ll take care of them. They’re alive. They made it this far.” Alive. The word rattled inside me, hollow. That’s what she meant. But being alive wasn’t enough. Being alive was fragile. Alive could still be lost.

My new existence continues. Alive. Changed. Controlled. Better than dead. But not by much. This is price of survival. This is cost of transformation. This is what living costs. Everything. Always everything.

“Stay with me.” “No,” I whisper. “No…” “Mr. Sutcliffe,” Reynolds snaps into the phone. “We have visual.” The room freezes. “Is she alive?” I demand. “Yes.” He says quickly. The word detonates inside my chest. “Yes.” “She’s conscious,” he continues. “Shaken. Injured, but stable.” My legs give out. I sink back onto the couch, chest heaving, vision blurring. “Oh God,” my mother sobs behind me.

Alison was still caught in disbelief of Jasper's death, but Renee's words now convinced her that Jasper was alive. The man had survived plenty of action but always came out on top, even taking Everest Group to new heights while carrying everyone on his backs. There was no question about the man's strength. Nodding repeatedly, Alison sniffled, "Yeah, he's definitely alive as long as we don't see a body!" Renee smiled wryly. At this point, they were merely finding comfort and encouragement in each other. "That's why you must keep it together," Renee finished and hung up.

He said quickly as Ryan stiffened at my side and I looked up at him questioningly. “Why?” He bit out, his tone cold and unforgiving, “What possible reason could she have for returning here?” Tom sighed heavily and rubbed the back of his neck. “Well, you see…the Alpha King isn’t dead. Andrew is alive and on life support back at the safehouse.”

"But she's not out of the woods yet. We need to keep a close watch on her." I nod, my heart pounding with a mixture of relief and fear. She's alive, but her condition remains critical. The battle is far from over.
