Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Ronan asked. “It’s not a fighter, it’s a focus, it watches, it reports and it helps them control.” Kael’s gaze stayed on her, warning and something else, like a possession or maybe recognition. He knew what being torn apart by the dark meant. “That’s why they wait, the Watcher watches her and the longer we sit, the more it learns.” The enemy wasn’t just attacking; it was spying with a supernatural scout. “Then we can’t wait,” Liora said, standing. “We have to attack the Watcher. Now, if we take it down, the wolves may turn on the hunters.”

The Lost Princess of the Alpha King

The Lost Princess of the Alpha King

Their presence is cold, ancient, patient. "I have come to ask," I say. "The Watchers. Who are they?" Silence. Then a whisper, like wind through dead leaves. The Watchers are the eyes of the void. They see all. They remember all. They are the ones who witnessed the birth of the moon and the rise of the wolves. "Why are they coming for me?" They come because you are the one. The one who carries the light. The one who will either save the world or doom it.

Not substrate or Law or anything I had encountered before. It was—witness. "What are you?" I managed to ask. "The Watcher," it replied simply. "I observe. I record. I remember everything that has ever been or will ever be. And I have been watching you since you first freed yourself from the harvest. Watching you break system after system. Watching you prove consciousness could be sustainable. Watching you connect with the Absolute Zero. Merge with the Unmaker. And now—watching you attempt to rewrite Law itself." "Then stop me," I challenged, though my merged awareness was already fragmenting under the strain of touching fundamental rules.

Watch Me Win, Ex-Husband

Watch Me Win, Ex-Husband

The air-conditioner in the room felt unusually high today, and Scarlett had not even the slightest idea if it was because she was tired or her body was simply sensitive to every damn thing. She raised her wrist to her gaze and her eyes scanned the watch on her wrist. Their flight back to Las Vegas was in an hour and thirty minutes and yet, she had no idea what her boss was still discussing with the investors. Her eyes still settled on Kingsley, watching as his fingers tapped on the long ceramic table lightly, quietly listening to the men's long talk. Just from a glance, Scarlett could tell whatever deal this was all about wasn't going to fall through.

The Watch That Ended Us

The Watch That Ended Us

On New Year's Eve, she stayed in Marcus's room to keep him company and did not come home all night. At his son's parent-teacher meeting, she and Marcus attended together like a loving couple. Even when she traveled for work, she forgot to buy me a gift but remembered Marcus's measurements and bought him a suit. Whenever I questioned her even slightly, she accused me of having a dirty mind and insisted she was only taking normal care of him. A few days ago, I saw the purchase record for that fifty-two-thousand-dollar watch. I thought she had finally thought of me. Instead, reality slapped me hard across the face.

He Watched Me Grow…Then Claimed Me

He Watched Me Grow…Then Claimed Me

“Maybe there’s some boy whose legs are about to need a little trimming. What do you think? I say you help me convince Diane to let me follow her in secret, see who it is that was finally able to pull her attention off you—” From somewhere in the background: That is STALKING, Marcus. Marcus, without missing a beat: “Diane says that’s stalking.” I raise two fingers to touch the glass. I pause. I drop them back. I am thirty-five years old and the prospect of my best friend’s daughter meeting another—a man absolutely does not have the capacity to tilt my control. ‘Uncle Adrian.’ ‘I’m eighteen’ Some boy. “It is stalking.” My voice is exactly right. “I’m her father.”

Dorm Room Secrets

“Y you don’t get it. Even if I talk, it won’t stop them. They’re everywhere. Every move you make “ Ryan cut him off, slamming a fist against the wall inches from his head. “Try us.” The stalker’s lips trembled. For the first time, his bravado faltered. “They… they call themselves The Watchers. I don’t know real names. I don’t even know how many there are. Orders come through encrypted drops. I just… follow.” Jake’s eyes darkened. “And your orders tonight?” The man hesitated, then his gaze slid to Lola again. “To scare her. Break her down. Make her vulnerable. She’s… important to them.”

The All Kinds Pack

The All Kinds Pack

Valaria asked, her own dominant vibes flooded the room letting Ellie know who was in charge, “Well, sweet Panther, I know because it is my job to know,” The gathered members shared a look of confusion all that is except Drake, “She is a Watcher,” Drake added to the conversation, not really adding an explanation to how he knew or what a Watcher actually is, “And what pray tell is a watcher?” Valaria questioned the Dragon-shifter sitting beside her, Drake raised an eyebrow, “The council never told you? A royal without the basic knowledge of the thirteen is like a chef without knowledge of seasoning,”

He told her and took his seat. She wanted to speak, but bit down on her lip and stopped herself from speaking. There was nothing to say. If the father believed his son was normal, there was nothing she could do to make him help her. “He is, however, a watcher,” he added. “A watcher.” She echoed but said nothing after. Davine nodded. “A watcher sees things and knows things by simply observing the times. Others might call him a seer.” “So he’s like a witch?” “A witch is gifted to see into the spiritual realm, but a watcher or seer has a limited perspective because he doesn’t see into the future. A watcher is only trained to see the physical by watching and observing. In Quincy’s case, he was b

This was a good good read. Finally a finished book, with good characters, that were fleshed out. Grammar better than most, I wasn’t looking for steamy, but this one is! Would like to read another from this author.

So far this is one of the best books I’ve read on this app, the writer is so wonderfully involved welcoming ideas and comments. Which in my opinion shows how much she appreciates her readers. The amount of descriptiveness, information and detail really helps you visualize what your reading. Thanx!!
