Daniel's POV The vow burned in my chest and then I let it go…for the moment. There was a storm to outrun. We'd stopped at a neighboring pack to wait it out. Eighteen Years Ago The Shadow Pack burned that night; the storm came first, then came the lightning. It split the sky in two; thunder shook the very foundation of the pack, like the growl of a vengeful god.
