The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

"Take these to the mall and melt them down. Make whatever style you like." Her hands trembled as she shoved everything into Hayley's palms. Hayley didn't want to take them, but the woman's grip was incredibly tight. So tight that Hayley could feel the warmth of her skin. She was real. Alive. "How have you survived these past two years?" Hayley asked. "I'm just an old woman. I live how I can. Sit in the sun. Wait for Samson to come back," the old woman said with a smile. "What do you eat?"

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

ABRAHAM — The Lycan King

ABRAHAM — The Lycan King

We sat at the back and crossed our legs like everyone else. I leaned toward Zinnia and whispered, "But… she’s not old. I thought only old ones told stories." Zinnia kept her eyes on the woman. Her voice was soft. "She’s a witch. The others love her because she knows ancient stories." I gave a small nod and turned back just as the woman’s voice rose. "And that… is how the Cursekeeper’s Eye was stolen," she said with a sly smile. Someone in the crowd raised their hand.

Not yours to love , young master !

Not yours to love , young master !

“ Why…..Why are you helping me ? Why are you so kind to me when we just met ? You don’t know who I am yet you are offering to help me ?…. “ said the old woman with a touched expression . “ True ! I don’t know how you are but I would be very happy to get to know you and help you . Back then someone extended their hand to me and helped me to become who I am today . I just wanna help you as well so that you can have a better life . Fate isn’t always that cruel once you meet good people , right ? “ said Ayla smiling brightly . The old woman’s eyes were filled with tears . She never imagined that just a simple meeting with a stranger would make a huge turnover on her life . “ I…..I don’t know how

The Alphas Curse

The Alphas Curse

He has the reason to not fully trust this old woman but he makes sure to not voice out this very thing. “You know, the mountain...” He told her everything, from the strangest of elements surround the mountain to what happened after that, in exemption to the appearance of one particular woman. Through out the time, he make sure that he, himself, was comfortable at the sight of her guarded ornamental house. It never be a question why someone as old as this woman kept something hidden and afford to defend her stoned-house from anyone, even the natural laws of the jungle. But there's rumor that the old woman have change because of what happen few thousand years ago. Since that freaking night, sh

The Last White Wolf

The Last White Wolf

" The story everyone has heard about the White Wolves is.. true some details have been left out," the old woman began, piquing Felix's interest. He was still weary of the nameless old woman, but something inside urged him to give her his attention. Mercedes had fallen asleep on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her waist securely. The old woman told him that it was nothing of concern. Mercedes would wake up in some time. " So what is the true story?" Felix asked, looking into the eyes of the old woman, trying to see if he was lying.

EJIMA

EJIMA

Her shoulders had slogged and even though Ejima could not see her face, she could almost imagine the sadness that draped the creased horny colored skin. “It was never meant to be,” The squashing resumed for a while before the old woman returned her attention to Ejima, “You deserved better. The village should have treated you better.” She shrugged before wiping her wet hand on her clothes. “That hasn’t said a thing about you.” “About me,” The old woman dragged the stool closer to Ejima’s bed. “Tell me, do you remember, Mmechi, the hunchback?”

Rejected by the Alpha, Crowned by the Lycan King

Rejected by the Alpha, Crowned by the Lycan King

The elder must have seen it on my face because she sighed. “Fine. Here, then. But you will wish I had waited.” “I wish many things. Speak.” Cassian’s eyes shifted to me. The old woman lifted her stick and tapped it once against the floor. “In Briar Glen, we kept stories the wolves tried to burn out of us.” The nearest villagers quieted. Some looked uncomfortable. Others looked scared. The elder continued, “Stories of Queen Amara. Not wolf stories. Human stories.” Kaeron, from the doorway, turned his head.

Till Worlds Do Us Part

Till Worlds Do Us Part

I didn't want to ask him about everything the woman told me and him to confirm it. Gamu told me that Yoké was asking why I was refusing to come to the well, but I managed to distract her by asking about Uma again. I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep distracting her from trying to find out the truth. The next day we joined the circle in the evening, Gamu was sitting next to me. The oldest lady in the village was seated in the middle and telling us the story of the boy who cried wolf in the farm. The little children laughed when the boy in the story laughed at the people he had managed to fool.

Tangled

I was satisfied but something pricked my conscience so I went to the daughter of the town head, she was extremely bubbly, "Hey um, excuse me, there's this old Hut and an old woman lives in it, do you know anything about it?" "Oh that…yes, a couple lived there one time and it was known that they were a human-wolf pair." She smiled into the distance, "nothing could separate them and they ended up dying for each other, it was a beautiful love story." She sighed dreamily and my eyes widened, "How long ago was this?" I just had to ask. "About over 100 years ago. Why? Did you see someone there?" She was asking too many questions and I told her to drop it which she did.

Louisa Unchained

Louisa Unchained

An old woman with a chiffon veil covered his heart as if she was going to have a stroke and asked the young man standing next to him, "Is she going to rob us?" "No, Ma'am. I guess she's just drunk." The old woman tried to process this piece of abnormal information and said, "Well, in that case, that servant girl's deviating the path of righteousness." The young man waved his hands as a fan next to that old woman and said, "Do you need to take your seat, Mrs. McNeill? You look pale." "Of course not," That old woman said, "Last time I saw an astray girl like this was seventy years ago. I would like to see how this is going to end."
