And even if This Mansion were to be a novel, I'm pretty sure it would be horror and not romance! " I shot. "That's true. But who says a little romance isn't allowed in a horror novel? " she coos while wiggling her brows at me. "You're nuts! " I reply as I roll my eyes and look away while she just laughs.

I asked and boldly asked her about her work. "What do you mean 'no more'? What was happening there, by the way?" She curiously asked, and I grunted. "Ugh! I am not really satisfied. I mean... There should be more than just them kissing, right? This one is an adult romance book, isn't it? Where's the spice? And look at this. The word count for this chapter didn't reach your average count. It is way shorter than the rest, Oj. You should do something more with this scene." I explained with a bit of frustration, and she looked at me with her right eyebrow raised.

Note to Readers: This book is a slow burn romance. There will be loads of description of emotions, feelings and actions throughout the book reaching to the climax. If that's not something you think you enjoy, then a heads up before you move forward and buy chapters. Sounds mad, right? But I forgot to tell you that the main theme for the novel is action before romance, so of course many action scenes would appear in later chapters of the novel. By the way, did they really never suspects Avery to be the mastermind of all that has happened? Might be because she is the daughter of the Marquis or something.

There was no awkward gap between the two's body language which seemed natural and not like this was the first time they had met. If anyone had a sharp perspective, they would suspect the closeness of the two. But it seemed the people in this place were so busy with their pleasures that they didn't notice it. And like most other romantic novels, there are bound to be parties who are hurt by the closeness of the two, namely the villainess – who loves the male lead – which is Fuschia, and the second male lead, namely Raymon.

Then I reworked the characters. Their personalities went through huge transformations and quite a few were even removed entirely. Something I noticed while doing the rewrites was the unnecessary amount of romance entanglement. I decided who would stay and who would go. Satisfied that romance was no longer forcing itself into the focus,

We’ve all read them right? Those sappy romance novels, the ones where some handsome stranger rescues the damsel in distress. He’s wealthy like no other and adores the ground she walks on. There’s some life altering event, a struggle of some kind but it gets resolved and they live happily ever after.
