Suddenly, my car starts making a strange sound that sends shivers down my spine as if someone has dumped a bucket of ice on my back. I pull over to the side of the road as my car seems to breathe its last, my heart sinking as I know that I don't have the financial means to cover the cost of car repairs. Tears stream down my face, and I sob uncontrollably, consumed by the memories of all the difficulties I have faced in the past few years.

The sound of a loud crash, flashes of light that made him unable to see anything before him, and a young man who died before his eyes. "Oh?" Sean, focused on driving, was confused when he suddenly heard a sobbing sound behind him. He glanced in the rearview mirror to see River. "You're crying?" Sean asked doubtfully, unsure if his ears heard River's sobs because it seemed impossible for the man to cry in front of other people like this. However, Sean was surprised that he immediately pulled over to the car when he heard River's sobs getting louder. He turned his body backwards and was shocked when he saw River sobbing, his face flooded with tears.

And then, he leaned in and kissed her lips — deep, intense, and full of longing. Lily’s fluttering eyelashes answered him — And they lost themselves in each other… completely. The car continued on auto-drive, the road still calm — But the very next moment… CRASH! A speeding truck came out of nowhere and slammed into the car. Everything happened in a single heartbeat. A scream tore through the air — “Ahh…!” And then… silence. Shattered glass sparkled across the road… A moment that had just felt like heaven — now turned into a haunting question.

She didn't answer anymore and continued her strides away from that dirty house. She treads her way out at the fastest speed her legs and feet can handle. That was too much for her to hear and now she'll never not be reminded of it. She rode a taxi and pretended to herself that she's fine, that it's ok. But in the end, loud cries echoed inside the car. The driver could only give her some tissues but of no use at how heavy her tears oozed. She cried and cried while pressing her chest because it has gotten so compressed. She can barely breathe.

My screams grow louder, filling the silence, as my heart pounds ferociously in my chest. My throat burns from the tears and the raw screams that escape me, and in that moment, I realize I have more tears inside me than words to express my pain. So, I cry. I cry until my eyes feel heavy and no more tears can flow. I’m not just crying for Richie; I’m crying for myself, for my dad, and for every single thing that has been weighing heavily on my heart. Each sob feels like a release, an acknowledgment of the struggles I’ve been facing, and I allow myself to feel every bit of it.

My heart sank back just a little — Holding my breath, I slowly turned my eyes in the direction of the voice that was deep as hell. BEAT! My heart swiftly banged itself against my chest and raced straight towards the centre of my throat, wanting to jump right out. A pair of bright, golden eyes with a soft touch of steel that was smoothly penetrating in the pupils, glared at me. "MATE! MATE! MATE!" My wolf suddenly cried. I was breathing heavily with undistinguished emotions that were trailing everywhere in my figure.

I gave that up. I close my eyes, desperate not to let the tears filling them escape. I fail. They slip out, trail down my cheeks, fall from my face. I hold in the sob for as long as I can, lips quivering, chesttrembling, hands balled into fists. But I lose that battle too. The cry wretches itself up my throat, over my tongue, past my lips. At the last moment, I turn it into a scream. "Ah!!"

I need to stop this. I can't run. But I can use the car horn. I push down on the middle of the steering wheel. The horn sounds. I see Ashley and Brad turn around. "Come back, please." I mouth. Ashley tells something to Brad. But they keep walking. "No! Ashley!" I scream from inside the car. "Fuck!" I yell. Tears stream down my face. I bang the steering wheel countless times to rid my anger. I cry uncontrollably. Xavier is gone.

I got into the car and immediately I closed the door, the tears rolled down my eyes. I closed my eyes, as the scene replayed in my head over again. The smirk on her face, and the way she ran her hand over his arm. Fuck. But what exactly is wrong with me? Why am I crying this way? In less than two minutes, Damon opened the car and he slid in. Immediately I wiped the tears from my eyes while swallowing the sobs that threatened to escape from me. "You don't have to hide your tears away from me sweet girl, Moreover you have no reason to cry" Damon started, placing his hands on the steering wheel.

SHIT!” I cry, my hands now gripping at the steering wheel of my car, my little red sports car racing towards the outskirts of town as I hastily head for home, the need to grab my stuff and run now kicking in the minute I see my tiny little house come into view.
